Got our FedEx packet today!

DH just called to tell me our documents from DVC arrived today.

How scary is the paperwork? Is it stuff that we can fill out in one sitting, or will we need to break it into sessions? I know we'll need to go have some things notarized at the bank, but just how exhaustive is the actual paperwork?

They make it all very simple for you. Simply sign by the Mickey Heads and date by the palm trees.

It is very simple. There is a bit of signing but they give you a checklist. They also clearly mark the sheet that needs to be notarized (only one page.)

Make sure to go through it carefully. There was a significant mistake on ours and we are waiting for the new docs to be issued.

It's not hard at all! It takes a little while to read all the important stuff, but after that - piece of cake.

Thanks, everyone! I am the "detail" person, and I am also the money manager so I will make sure I read it carefully. DH is more the "show me where to sign" guy.

I just got mine today. We need two pages notarized But for the life of me I can't get the dvcmember.com to work. I fill out the info and it says welcome and just stops right there??? what am I doing wrong

We had a issue where the user ID and password had to be the same for all of the Disney websites because they talk to each other. It took a Disney IT person to reset all of our IDs and passwords. They had us long in through a old Disney website the first time and since then everything is fine. Contact Member Services to fix your access.

The only document that I have that needs notarized in the Short Mortgage Document. There are other documents behind it (and behind the sepertor page) but they do not have a place for a notary signature. What other doc do you have that needs a notary?

I thought the Deed needed to be but when my wife looked it over she said it was just the Short Mortgage. Hey, I just make the money she takes care of it lol

I spoke to Quality Assurance today and they answered my questions, DH and I met up at the bank and had copies of our DLs made and had the one thing notarized, I took all the papers back to work with me and signed them. DH will sign them tonight, I'll write the check for the rest of our down payment, and the FedEx envelope will be ready to go back to DVC!

It was not as bad as I thought it would be.

I just tried it again and it worked never had to call them. We sent our contracts back yesterday so they should be getting them today. We already got the blue box and travel bag so now I guess we just wait for our first trip.
