Got off to a rocky start, but got a lot better!

Yesterday started out with trying to pack the car for the trip! We certainly pack very differently now that we have a baby. We have two cars, an Element and a Vibe. The vibe has a roof rack so we decided to take that car with a carrier on top. I started packing the carrier, lost my temper a few times, DP left me alone. Finally got the carrier packed and started to secure the the straps, well I had the hatchback opened and was trying to secure the back straps, slipped slammed the hatchback on my thumb, close shut, could not get it opened. Screamed for DP she finally came, opened the hatchback it truly looked worse then it was. DP was freaking out wanted to take me to the emergency, but I was fine. The pain subsided, now I just have a cut on both sides, thumb is fine.

We could not fit all the stuff in our vibe with passengers in it so we ended up taking two cars. We left 2 hours later then we wanted. We headed out driving on I4, didn't even get out of Tampa, DP calls me and the baby is just screaming stop at the next exit. Got the baby calmed do driving in the right lane all of a sudden everyone breaks. A big piece of sheet metal laying in the road, but got passed it unscathed. Thought it might be a sign

We got to Westgate Lakes (Turkey Lake Rd) about 2:00pm. Checked in found out we are in a brand new building and are the first guests in this particular villa. We are so happy that we decided to take our friend up on her offer of her time share in stead of staying at Coronado. I am a little bummed we're not on property, but this place is huge!!! Much better for 3 adults and a baby. The master bedroom is larger then my living room at home and has a double jacuzzi tub. Mom's space has a kitchenette and bedroom and bathroom with walk in shower. Nice big veranda for us and mom has her own. We definitely would be squished in a regular room at CS, this place is awesome. We settled in and then headed to DTD to have dinner at Portobello, we had a great dinner and were glad we could take our leftovers back, because we have a full kitchen in the villa.

Today we just relaxed and our friend came to visit to see the place she let us borrow.

Tomorrow we head to MK in the morning, back to the villa for a rest, then dinner at Narcoossee's.

One of life's great mysteries is how negativity tends to "melt away" once you see the sign that say "Walt Disney World". Here's to a great time.

Have a great time. It's so good we don't live that close. We used to take the 4 of us in a Grand Am. Poor DD had her legs up on a cooler the whole way.

Now we have the Grand Caravan and we seem to pack that to the gills too.
