To date, my little collection of Tesco vouchers equate to over £500 off a holiday. We are not planning our next DLP holiday until December 2007 (hopefuly a Christmas Day break) and by then I think I will have saved enough vouchers to pay for our whole stay at DLH. :D:D

Anyonelse going points mad?

Me too, mine arrived this morning - although I have agreed that we can use these ones, towards a new bathroom suite at MFI, but after that they're all mine. I don't think I'll manage to pay for the whole holiday out of them but "every little helps" :teeth:

wow..good luck with the rest of the collecting, will be great to go to DL at christmas..

Sorry, bit dim here! I didn't know you could use Tesco vouchers to pay for DLP trips? How come? I have accumulated a goodly collection this time round (courtesy of a whole bunch of "spend £50 get 500 points" codes) and I looking for something to spend them on. (Definately NOT anything from MFI!)

I certainly am Quack:lmao:

Earlier this year I spent all the vouchers I had so I started saving up again from January. Now I have 204.50 worth which equals 818 pounds discount! (Sorry the pound sign on my keyboard isn't working)

I am hoping to get to about 450 pounds worth by the end of the year (about a 1,800 pounds discount) which I think will be going towards a trip to WDW in 2008.

Sweetiepie71, there have been a couple of threads on this forum about Clubcard - if you do a search you should find them but it sounds like you're on the right tracks to build up vouchers! To see what you can spend them on go to Tesco.com then Clubcard. Select the Deals otion then Holidays and you'll see a lot of companies who take Clubcard vouchers.

Quack you'll probably have enough to book DLH Castle Club!:cool1:

How on earth do you manage to get that many points??? I got £20 this quarter and that was from buying all my food and all my fuel at Tesco, and using a Tesco credit card for everything else. You must spend some serious amounts of money to accumulate that amount of points!!!!

Wow Rosie!!!! I am thinking you must be using a multiple amount of cards to accumulate so many points since January? I have been using the online codes and they have helped to bump up my points, plus I buy all I can on the Tesco credit card. I thought I did good this month, but there is no way I could have gained as much as you. How did you do it?

DH is hoping to get enough for Castle Club. I am not too bothered since I noticed in other posts that the Castle Club rooms are exactly the same as our standard room we stayed in this year. Still it would give my ego a boost to use that special lift!! LOL

i`m quite scared now..i read this thread and thought i bet there are websites up that let you know when the new clubcard offers are about and my god theres a whole tesco clubcard world out there-there`s even people who call themselves trolley wombles or something and they pick up the receipts from trolleys where someone didn`t give c/card so didn`t use points and then get tescos to add them to their card !!!.............not a bad idea

i`m thinking tomorrow morning theres going to be all these disney fans hijacking trolleys at tesco get the receipts!

I don't do any of that wombling or using codes that haven't been sent to me.

I don't spend a fortune either. I guess they just know me well and send me lots of vouchers to get extra points. Theres rarely a week that goes by when I don't get vouchers from the till or by post for a few hundred extra points if I buy certain stuff.

We do use our Tesco CC to pay for everything we can, but mostly it is extra points vouchers that builds up the Clubcard vouchers. If I don't get many I shop elsewhere. That usually does the trick (so long as I pay with the Tesco Card) and they start bribing me with vouchers again. If they send me money off vouchers I don't usually use them.

It is a marketing tool and they analyse my spending habits. If I'm spending at Waitrose or Asda they want me back.;) I have built up to this amount by degrees over the past five years or so. I know there are people out who get more than me - but I do it honestly and I'm happy with what I get back.

Lizbro - I agree its one thing to have a head start about extra points but it is quite scary that people will do anything to get points.

i for one would be too scared to start using receipts but i normally shop at morrisons-because its only 2 mins from me but then i`m getting busier all the time so i was considering starting to get home delivery again so i guess this will swing me back to tesco..which is the whole idea of the deals !

You lucky thing. The only vouchers I ever get from Tescos are those that come with my clubcard statement. And I have only ever recieved ONE till split. I started reading those boards and see how people recieve till splits almost daily (I must be at the wrong store!). Wombling though, is a stoop too low LOL
