Got my Castaway Club card.....woo hoo!!???

We received our Castaway Club packet in the mail yesterday. I am now a card carrying member!

I'm a bit disappointed though. Not to sound greedy but....what's in it for me??
I know I get a special line to check in at the terminal and I get invited to a Captain's party. Is that it???

What get's me is if I refer any friends by giving them those post cards and they book a cruise......THEY get the on board credit.
Shouldn't I get something for A)being a return cruiser and B)refering another paying customer?

Will there perhaps be other offers mailed to me in the future?

We received our card about a week ago. Woo-hoo. It's a cool-looking card and just the right size to take up the very last bit of space in my much-too-crammed wallet.

Disney must have known that I was short on wallet space though, because they sent me the super-thin flimsy version.

Good thing they did--a real card would not have fit! Must be Disney Magic at work.

We got ours about 3 weeks after our first cruise. You do not need to book a second cruise to get one. They are automatically sent out.

We never got a card or anything else. We cruised last August and have another cruise booked for March. I know that I have a number - I think I got it over the phone. Or maybe Cathy at DU got it for me. I can't remember. Regardless, I never got a card. Do I have to ask for one?

We did not ask for one... it just came in the mail one day. I am pretty sure everyone is supposed to get one after the first cruise. You may want to call the cruise line and let them know you did not receive one. If you booked through a travel agency, perhaps you have to go through them.

We did book directly through DCL though...maybe that's the catch.

I think it might be the luck of the draw. We booked our first cruise through DreamsUnlimited and sailed in Jan, 2003. In March, 2003 I received one Castaway Club card in the mail. My DH and DD did not get a card, only me (I guess that is the reward for being the one who booked the trip)! I gave the card with the discount codes to my sister in law.

Now we are taking a 3 day in August 2003! Can't wait!

got ours today too... I got excited when I saw the big Mickey on the envelope,how pathetic am I? Ours also had a comment sheet to fill out and return.

we sailed the week before Easter too (on the same cruise as Big Daddy 13 in fact! )

we used DVC points to book, so there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason as to who gets the card...

We cruised in January, and still haven't gotten them.

We cruised in February & have called DCL three times about receiving them & still nothing. Each time we spoke with someone that said they were sending them out. Why do some people receive them almost immediately & others have to beg for them???
