so now I'm stuck with an 8:45 p.m. PS for Aug. 8. I guess I lulled myself to sleep thinking that crowds aren't what they were two years ago.

What do you think my odds of getting a table would be if we just showed up at 5:30 and took our chances as walk-up guests? My family might be getting pretty ugly if they have to wait til 8:45. And they made the res for 2 tables--I would hope these are together?

Thanks for your wisdom.

I don't know about doing a walk-up, but I'd certainly keep checking. I had an 8:15 p.m. PS for Chef Mickey's for this Sunday. When I made the PS, I was told they were almost booked. I've been calling back every few weeks since, and they have consistently said, "We're booked for the whole evening." This morning, I called to check again (only 6 days out). Guess what? They had seatings open at 6:00, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00, 7:30, and 7:45 p.m. So, I did get an earlier seating. Go figure.

Got lazy I guess cause I didn't jump on the 120 or 60 day bandwagon this trip and wound up with a PS for CM at 8:00pm on 8/24. I may try and see if I can get earlier before I get down there or try calling that day to see what I get. Either way I'm eating there.

We have always had luck showing up at CM at 4:45 pm. We are a family of 5 and have always been seated by 5:30 the latest. We have done this about 6 times!!!!!

We are going to DW and have made ressie at Chef Mickey...we were abe to get only 8:45pm. It's kinda of late for us to eat.We have been calling repeatedly everyday trying to get an earlier ressie, but no go. In reading the boards I have read that if you show up early, like when it opens you have a better chance of being seated. Hey, even if you have to wait one hour its better then 9pm. We leave one week from this Sunday. DD would be crushed if we didn't eat there. We have tried to persuade her, but she won't eat anywhere else.

Good luck to those trying to get to get those ressies and to those who got an earlier seating.....you lucky dogs!

Flyingchef, I'm getting the idea that you are a chef at BOMA after reading your posts....:p

Granted it was Nov., but we tried to get a last minute PS for CM and was told they were full, regardless we showed up a few minutes before they opened and were seated within 10 minutes. They acted as if it was no problem and were glad to help us out. Best of luck....
