Disney but make it Paris! ~ an August 2025 adventure. updated 10/06

When I first saw it I was too little to understand any of those words!
Well, the books certainly weren't written for children. Lewis Carroll had many important societal messages within the story.
Interesting interpretation. I never thought about it in those terms.
It's definitely a different perspective as a feminist and a woman.
I love your dress. I would definitely want to hit up the attractions we don’t have here! Is the park fairly small? It is nice you could walk everywhere.
I really liked the walk ability. It made park hopping very easy! My dress is one of the Her Universe sundresses I bought for my 2023 August trip. The pink is a Minnie and Mickey sweetheart dress while my blue dress in the same style is a Jungle Book print.
I give you kudos for riding Hyperspace Mountain! That is a crazy ride. I read somewhere that when planning DLP, they realized Tomorrowland in the MK was already dating itself, so to resolve that issue, Tony Baxter made the land steampunk. So that it represented a "futuristic world" in a 1920s era. I thought that was really neat, and it makes that land really fun.
I did really love the theming of DLP's Tomorrowland. Hyperspace was definitely a little crazy but very fun!

We both loved this attraction...sweet, charming and a bit of magical storytelling.
It's adorable! I love UP and that whole area looks so cute!

And of course the castle itself was looking so pretty in the evening light.

Gorgeous! You and the castle! Love the pink dress!

Sounds like a nice little evening. The Alice in Woderland Maze is something I would love to see one day. Also, the Storybook Canals in Disneyland are one of my favorites, and that seems very similar!
It really was a lovely evening! If you're in Paris one day, DLP is worth a visit!

Aww, thank you! I was so happy to wear some of my Disney dresses again. :)

Fireworks fizzled out....

So fireworks are very different in France due to environmental regulations. They aren't allowed to do the big showy ones that we are used to, especially close to residential areas. There were a lot of the sparkler style fireworks as well as projections, lasers and water displays. At Disneyland Paris they do have drones to augment the fireworks but unfortunately they are quite weather dependent.

We had booked the preferred viewing area which was right by the front of the castle. However the entrance was almost impossible to find! I saw one CM with a light who told me to turn right, then turn right again and keep going. Well I tried that with no success as I ended up in the middle of Adventureland. So I went back and asked again and the CM actually yelled at me!!!! He said "I told you, turn right, turn right and go straight." I said I did that and I couldn't find it and then he yelled again! Wow....totally not how I expect to be treated! I wandered around the back of the castle and finally spotted a dim light with one CM standing there. I asked if this was the entrance to the preferred viewing area and he said yes. May I add it was nowhere near where the other CM said to go!

After all that drama I did have a lovely spot basically right in front of the castle.

Unfortunately the winds were too high for the drones and they ran a modified version of the show.

I did really love the beginning with Pinocchio and the Blue Fairy.

Circle of Life is always a classic.

It was nice to see Carl and Ellie get some love.

I could have sworn I filmed the bit with Eva and Wall-E but I can't find it. I was happy to see a representation of Wall-E in the park. It's something you don't really see in the US parks.

The finale was lovely it nothing about the show was emotional for me. It was just pleasant.

The show happens right at the end of the day and it was madness leaving the park. People soup was an understatement! Everyone going to the train station or the hotels has to exit the same way which really made the situation worse. I finally made it back to Sequoia ready to get a good night's sleep! Just a few steps today!

I was really enjoying the first half of the ride with the dark creepiness of the storyline. Then all of a sudden we were in a wild west saloon populated by skeletons. It was so disjointed and odd to me. I felt as though they completely abandoned the story of Constance. I honestly didn't know what to make of it and had no desire to experience it again. Maybe I missed something but I was very disappointed and would give it a 1/10.
Yeah, that seems very, very odd. What a weird and wild transition and out of place. huh!
So cute!!!
The CM at the desk was SO rude....she said it's not ready and maybe it'll be ready at 4:00, 5:00 or 6:00, I don't know!
I've been to Paris twice. Both times netted rude behavior from people who were completely unwilling to be kind or helpful. Paris just isn't my favorite place to visit.
Oh my. Update, STAT!!
You may or may not know that "Walt's ~an American Restaurant" has the second largest collection of Walt Disney memorabilia in the world. So you can imagine that I was very interested in checking everything out. :)
I do wonder if the largest is at the museum in San Francisco. That collection is quite something and MASSIVE! I spent half a day there and could have easily spent more.
Ummm.... :confused3
Hop inside a colourful 15-person boat for a gentle cruise through the enchanting realm of Disney's Storybook Land. As you gracefully make your way past hills and through valleys, discover a dazzling assortment of charming homes and villages from classic Disney movies, beautifully rendered in miniature scale.
I love this kind of attraction, but...
As they are both DLP exclusives
this also seems IDENTICAL to Storybook Land at Disneyland, CA. All of the miniatures seem exactly like the ones I grew up with and that I saw last time I was there. How is this one different? Bigger? More scenes? Now I want to go just for this attraction. :)
The theming is incredible with a definite steam punk, Jules Verne feel. The ride is set to Star Wars and is quite intense. It was a lot of fun
Now THAT is super cool. I adore anything steampunk and I would LOVE to see that.

Again. :( Makes me less enthused about going.

Uh oh…

Huh. Shame, that.

Can see that. They are small, after all.

But… guess I’m not that surprised. Disappointed… but not necessarily surprised.

Well poop. :(

Ugh!
Note to self… leave before the fireworks if possible.

The fireworks are pretty. Some of them remind me of what the new Epcot fireworks look like.

WDW used to close MK when the fireworks ended. I was very glad when they changed the schedule so that the park closed much later.

Oh no!

What the?? No need to be yelling!
