I have been to DW many times, but never stayed at a DVC hotel outside of the "world"! LOL

There are a ton of activities at the resort. We are going up there in three weeks. You can call the resort and have them fax you a current activity sheet so you can get an idea.

Hi Caitsmama...

I just got back from a wonderful girls only trip to HHI. There is definitely not a lack of things to do at the resort or on the island. Depends on how adventurous you are, but the island is not hard to navigate and if you're friendly enough to meet some of the locals, you'll find all the fun stuff easily.

Off the resort, I would suggest Harbour Town, South Beach and Caligney(sp). Since it was a bunch of gals and we're all in our late 20's early 30's we also hit several bars on the beach, a couple clubs and just explored the island in general. If you're into any of that, Monkey Business is fun and the Tiki Hut at the Holiday Inn was great too...right on the water. We also did a wine tasting at a local winery.

We mostly spent our days soaking up the sun on the beach or at the Disney Beach House. Then our evenings and nights were spent at the resort or exploring the island. There's also a couple nice places within walking distance of the resort. The faces spa is also a nice location for a massage or some other little treat. It's just a short drive from the resort.

Some great little places to eat too off the beaten track.

You'll have a great time. :cool1:
