Got up Monday morning, called at about 6:59, put on hold for about 8 or 9 minutes, then got a nice CM who took our info. and made the PS for 10:10 AM on 12/14. Nearly perfect. The only problem is that the largest party they would (not could) accomodate was 8, and we really have 10. My BIL and DN (14) don't really care, but my sister and I wanted our families to enjoy this experience together. I was wondering if anyone else had an experience with limiting the party size at CRT? Is it "policy" to only allow up to 8 guests to dine together without going through their version of group sales?

In the end, I am thrilled that my 3 girls and my sister's 2 girls will get to experience the whole princess magic thing...(not to mention my DH, he wouldn't miss seeing his 3 princesses for the world), but I have to admit to a little disappointment.

Your feedback is appreciated.

P.S. I have to agree with many previous posts, it seems a bit easier since the 60/90 days switch. I don't think the word is really out yet.

Glad you got your PS, and sorry you could not get one for the entire group. I assume that you did not want to "split" the party and book two tables. The castle restaurant is actually quite small - I think it is very difficult to accomodate larger parties.

FWIW, I think part of the reason it was easier to get reservations right now was/is Isabel. Lots of east coast people were focused on the preparations, wondering where the strom would hit and now how to deal with the damage.

Best wishes -

You may want to call group dining. I was told the other day, that a party of eight or more would be sent to group dining for priority seatings. When are you going? WDW will start booking the "grand gathering" events on Oct 6th. I was told it was for groups of eight or more. The events posted looked interesting. The cm I talked to said there would be quite a few services offered which would make a group trip even more magical.

We have a group of 15 people and when we tried- all 6 of us- 5 out of 6 got transferred to group dining and did not get the reservation. I was the one not transferred and got a res. for 12 people. The next morning, we decided to ask for 11- the other 4 were actually not part of our immediated family traveling with us- just thought it would be nice. Two of us got the res. for 11 people- no problem. When we all asked for 11- noone got transferred to group dining. I don't know why someone could not accomidate more than 8- or would not. Two CMs told me that when you tried to put more than 12 in the computer, it wouldn't let them because it is considered group dining. We had no problems with our party of 11. Maybe try again- different cast members may have different perspectives!
Good luck!!!

I had a similar experience and booked our two families as 6 and 5 rather than 11. When we checked in they seated us in three tables but together. It was nice since we could put the girls, boys and parents together. I am sorry it dosen't help your situation but maybe the "guys" can get in an extra ride on Space Mountain or sleep in? If you really want to have a family breakfast then try checking in together and see if they can (are willing to ) accomodate. If not I guess the men can have plan B on the ready just in case.
