We got back yesterday morning and just wanted to summerise our highs and lows, can't wait to start planning for our next trip now, hopefully November this year! I will be doing a proper trippie as soon as I get my head into gear :goodvibes

Lets get the lows out of the way first so that we can forget those ;)

The delays both outgoing and coming home - it took us 37.5 hours to get from our house to the villa, including sleeping on the floor at Newark - Shelby's first thought when we were delayed coming home was to say "mommy please don't make us sleep on the floor again today" :sad2:

The Brazillian tour groups, they were everywhere and a lot of them were loud and obnoxious chanting at the tops of their voices.

The weather the first week was terrible too - Freezing cold, we were wearing all of our winter clothes from home!

ok the Highs! :cool1:

Harleys 3rd Birthday at Chef Mikeys! It was fab, lovely food and the character interaction was great too. He loved it - as did we all truth be told!

Aquatica - we visited twice and really enjoyed it, the park was clean (virtually empty) and well kept, we loved seeing the trainers with the birds just hopping round the park, the kids area was fantastic and the slides are great too, we loved Roas Rapids - so much fun. after going to Aquatica we went to TL and considering that it has only just opened again for the season and how long it was closed for last year it sure does look tired and dirty.

Cheesecake Factory and Chilis - we had trouble choosing which one to go to! They were both fab! The Chilis that we were going to opposite Camping World was also still doing the 2 for $20 offer too so we took advantage of that. The Cheesecake Factory was just amazing - their portions are huge, we were bringing a box of food home with us after every meal!

Mountain Dew - need I say more?

TSM - We managed to ride it 4 times on Thursday, they were saying that the line was 120 minutes but actually it was around 40 minutes a time, I think they were trying to put people off.

Americal Idol Experience - We really enjoyed this and went back to see the final at the end of the day, it was really funny how the whole thing seemed to draw you into it, the singers were really good too, I know some people have said that they didn't like it but even the kids were clapping along and voting for their favourites.

Well that's about all I can think of for now, I will hopefully get started on my trippie soon!

WOW thats a long delay you poor things! Really glad you had a great holiday you certainly deserved it after that!

We love Cheesecake Factory too but I am always so full I have to get Cheesecake to go. Can never not have it though its SO good!

Mountain Dew - :cloud9: I miss it so much here at home!

Your post made me smile. You listed most of our highs too.

Welcome back sounds like you had a fantastic time! Cannot beleive your delays what a nightmare!
Can't wait to read the trippie :)

so glad you had a good time Gems, I was worried about you after that long delay but glad to hear you had a great holiday in the end!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Welcome home Gems, so pleased to hear you had an amazing trip, leaving out those horrible delays!

Sounds like fun was had by all. Can I ask though, were is this Cheesecake factory you speak of? :lmao: Sounds like something that must be sampled on our trip in May! :thumbsup2

Its in the Mall at Millenia I believe:thumbsup2

That's right!

One word of warning though if you are going to go don't go on a Saturday - we waited over an hour for a table. It is divine though and the menu is huge!!

Thanks Amy & Gems - I've put the info into our planner just in case we manage to swing by! Just not on a Saturday :thumbsup2 Sounds delicious!

welcome back :cool1:

Happy planning for your next trip :goodvibes

I'm pretty sure you can call and book a table if you know what time you would like. I know you def can for PF Changs at MoM but I cannot remember if we've done it for Cheesecake. Saying that I can always waste an hour (or 5 lol) in Millenia.

I was just wondering if you could give me a bit more info about Chilis? I've seen it before but never been in. At what locations do they do the $20 offer and what kind of dishes are on that menu? Sounds like a really reasonable way of eating out!!

Welcome back Gems.

Brazilian Tour Groups - don't get me started. I threw a bucket of cold water over a few of these teenage terrors many many years ago when they were running up and down the hotel screaming & shouting at 2am in the morning.
Funny thing is , they were quiet the next few nights. :)

Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do :thumbsup2

Welcome Home and I am glad to read that the highs outweighed the lows.

Hopefully you will find time to do a trippie and stick a load of pics in as I would love to read - and see - more of what you got up to

Good on you Johnny. Those tour groups drive me up the wall in the summer.

Glad the highs outweighed the lows Gems

oooh
cheesecake factory !!! its yummy in there :thumbsup2 really enjoying your trippie btw xx

ok not wanting to hijack this post but in relation to the mountain dew... go into google and type american soda and there is a company by the same name that you can order it here from!!! they even do wild cherry pepsi which you can't get here. We order some stuff before we go to get us in the mood and it sounds daft but it works.
Sorry for the hijack:goodvibes
