Well, a fantastic 18 days has been and gone all too quick. We had a great time :goodvibes

Seen and done some pretty cool things both in St Petes and Orlando, a small part of which was...

Seeing the Rays beating the Red Sox 13-0.....seeing Evan Longoria (the Rays young star) hitting a Grand Slam in game 2 against the Sox.

Seeing a lot of the Florida West coast

Watching our first ever shuttle launch

In the parks:

Visiting Epcot twice, and racking up many rides on TT

Breakfast at Chef Mickeys was excellent once again

Riding Hulk with junior.....TWICE! What an amazing coaster!

We've had a blast and could have stayed longer, but i'm glad to be home at the same time. Celebrated a decent journey home tonight with a Scottish breakfast for dinner :goodvibes If only they had square sausage and potato scones in the US ;)

Welcome home sounds like you've had a fab trip.
I'm sure you'll enjoy re-living it when you do your trip report ;)

Welcome home, glad you had such a great time. :goodvibes

The thing I always crave when I get home is a bacon sandwich!

We found a parking spot at the side of US Highway 1, just south of Titusville. Never cost anything and we had a good view of the launch. Unfortunately, my camera decided to stop functioning 10 mins before the launch :(

The only dampener on the trip, but still we can say we seen it :thumbsup2

Welcome home Paul
Shame about the camera but its a great experience isn't it? Maybe better without camera, half my time was taken up taking pics.

I have no idea what this means:rotfl2: "Seeing the Rays beating the Red Sox 13-0.....seeing Evan Longoria (the Rays young star) hitting a Grand Slam in game 2 against the Sox." but it sounds like you enjoyed it. Ok just Google Red Sox, baseball, sorry wouldn't have a clue, don't understand any American sport.

Welcome back sounds like you had a great time,we love the hulk too it is an amazing coaster.
Were they doin any test runs on rip ride rock it while you were there? I can't wait to go on that in November.:yay:

Welcome home Paul, glad you had a great time- so when you going back then??

Thanks everyone :)

bombhead: No, we didn't see any test runs. I read something in the Universal forum about July 3rd, didn't pay it anyt attention tho so don't know if that's the official opening date.

Netty, not sure but sometime soon I hope. Maybe next year, if not it will be 2011, probably around Easter time. I prefer the cooler weather at that time of year, although it was scorching when we were there, usually around 90-95!

Hi Paul - glad you had a great trip. I'm sure the baseball would have been ace. Hope to hear lots more about the trip in due course....:thumbsup2

What a shame your team had a poor result this afternoon:woohoo::banana::yay::cool1::rotfl2::rotfl::cheer2:!

Must have made you wish even more you werent back!!

Seeing the Rays beating the Red Sox 13-0.....seeing Evan Longoria (the Rays young star) hitting a Grand Slam in game 2 against the Sox.

;)

we're looking at taking in a Rays game - can you give advice as to if it would be real boring for a 5 and 6 year old, and where you got your tickets and if they were good seats etc ...

thanks:thumbsup2

Welcome back.
I am so jealous you got to see a shuttle launch as that is the one thing in Florida that we would love to experience. Shame about your camera though.

So pleased you had a fantastic time now on to the trip report please.:goodvibes

Hey, Paul. Whereabouts in Glasgow are you from? I'm just back today - got home a few hours ago. I went to watch the shuttle launch from Cocoa Beach - it was amazing. Where were you staying?
