Got back home yesterday..LOOOOONG report, get comfy..

OK I made my way over here Olbear, and I want pictures tooo!!

Start here>> http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=4886029#post4886029

from there click on the other info, on posting to the Dis photo gallery, but like I said before, you have to have your pictures sized small enough, for that, its easier said than done, depending on what computer I have, the program that opens the pictures that were downloaded (uploaded :confused3 ) from my digital... sometimes I can crop, and then move over to myimager.com to resize... for myimager click on "file" a scroll down/drop down menu appears, click on open.... and follow directions...

I'll be patiently waiting pictures over here........... :cloud9:

That is so awesome that you met at EPCOT! DH & I will celebrate our 5th anniversary next year at WDW. Our first trip to WDW together was as friends, he stayed in the room next to me & my sister. We had our first date 3 weeks after coming back from that trip, got married 6 months later, then went to WDW for 9 days for our honeymoon. We had known each other for 5 years before that though. It sounds like you had a wonderful trip! Thank you for your post.

Love the report and love the pics!! Sounds like the best trip! I hope (but not expecting) some pixie dust for our 10 yr anniversary trip the end of the month. Thanks for sharing!!!

They are building a new plaza right down at the corner and the new Crispers restaurant just opened...we had it for dinner and its yummy. Where do you live in Ormond? DD11 is starting at the new middle school Monday.

DH and I live in Coquina Cove Park on Hand avenue between Nova and Clyde Morris. That is so cool, having a DISer close by!! We'll have to do a Barnes & Noble night and chat Disney!!

I just went up to St. Augustine to do some pin trading at Character Premiere outlet. It was fun. So do you do the "pin thing"??

Look forward to meeting you!!

Blessings,
Winnie

PS: We go to First Baptist Daytona Beach, come see us there too!!!

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the write up and the pictures. I am sitting here and I keep saying ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

olebear, you brought tears to these ole eyes! I am a sucker for a good love story. Meeting your DH at EPCOT and then returning there for your anniversary for 21 years-well that qualifies as a good love story, and then some!

Thanks so much for posting!,

Ursula

BTW Happy Anniversary!

yes we did. We were on a day trip to EPCOT with a group of singles from our church. DH did not know any of us, but tagged along. He didn't say 2 words the whole day. As we got to the bridge before China, it went up to let floats thru for the evenings fireworks. We were stuck there for a while and just started talking. The rest is history. How about that??

Blessings,
Winnie

I have an older son 23 and he broke up with his girlfriend this summer, unfortunately they just got back together. He thought he would never find anyone. I told him to stop looking and and it will happen when he least expects it. Glad to know my words of wisdom actually happened for you.

what a wonderfully romantic trip!

congratulations

 - so what did he get you that made you cry?

well, it's another corny romantic story...
It just so happens that pink roses are my absolute favorite flowers. And ever since we were dating he has called me his pink rose. he always manages to do something special in reagrds to this fav flower of mine. For instance, at his retirement ceremony in February, For the NAVY, he presented me with 2 dozen roses. 23 of them were a beautiful red, and right in the center of the bouquet was one perfect, beautiful PINK rose.

So anyway, for this anniversay, he was looking for something special. He says he always trys to find something that will say, "I love you", when I see it. Well, he did really good this time!! He went to Arribus Brothers in DTD, and he found this beautiful mirrored base with a heart shaped mirrored background with 2 wedding bells attached and it had on it, "Happy Anniversary - True Love Lasts Forever" and he also had etched on it 21st for our 21st anniversary. Then on the base there was an open space, so he filled that with something so very special. It was a miniature crystal PINK rose!!!

It was just so pretty and said I love you so well. It SCREAMED it actually. And yes, it made me cry. It was so thoughtful, loving and just so very very special. I'll always cherish it.

Love that man o mine!! :love2:

Blessings,
Winnie

Well, after dating every "frog" in church, and ending up with definate duds!!...I finally decided to take my daddy's advice. "Stop trying and start trusting". When I gave up and gave God control, he did a much better job of finding Mr. Right than I ever did...and HOW!!!!

Blessings,
Winnie

<<Then we went back inside to finish our dinner. In between dinner and dessert, hubby and I exchanged gifts. His made me cry. Then Krista brought out the cake I had ordered special. I got the idea for this cake from "seaspray". Only I had ours covered with buttercreme icing instead of the fondant. This cake was a work of art. It was just unbelievable!!! I have got to figure out how to post pictures. You have got to see this cake. It was delicious as well. We didn't even have any desserts from the buffet. This was BETTER!! It was white cakes layered with white choclate mouse and fresh raspberries. And there was so much, about 14 slices, so we shared it with other tables as well as our server and Cinderella and her Prince. What a great dinner and evening. It was the best!>>

Ooooh, this is what I want to do for our anniversary next year. Can you tell me how you arranged it?

olbear could you tell me how much was that cake with the top put on it and where did you order it from? Thanks.

What a great trip! I think that it is so sweet that you guys are so in love! What a wonderful couple!

Okie dokie,

For those who are interested, the cake was $40. But we got 20% off with our DDE. Highly recommend, it pays for itself in no time!!

And I'm so sorry, I have the main number for the Grand Floridian at my job, and keep forgetting to bring it home. Anyhooo, I called the main # and then asked for the bakery. I told them I wanted to do a special cake. I ordered a 6 inch cake. I asked that in between layers for white choclate mousse with fresh raspberries. I had it iced with buttercreme icing. This icing is so good. It feels like satin in your mouth and just melts. It is so delish. I did specifically ask for the white choclate M&M B&G for on top. I also asked them to make icing the off white color to match. They then asked me how I wanted it decorated, I only told them what to write on the plate, "Still Celebrating the Magic - Fred & Winnie". And then said to just make it pretty. This was more than I ever expected or hoped for. The banner with writing, the beautiful gum paste roses, and simple yet elegant detail. I decorate cakes for weddings etc, and I was so impressed.

By the way to get the # just call 407-WDW-DINE and ask for the main # for Grand. They gave it to me.

Have fun everyone, and blessings and MAGIC to all!!
