Just got back today after 5 days at AKL. We stayed in Jambo house, one bedroom, but did venture over to Kidani. I normally take loads of pics but for some reason not this trip. I will post pics that I did take of the fantastic view from our room.

:thumbsup2 I would love to see your pics. DH and I choose Kidani over Jambo but that could change one year. We do not have children and like the quiet lobby at AKV-K. I hope you enjoyed your stay. Did you eat at Jiko or Sanaa? We ordered room service from Sanaa one evening in May and decided it was just too much spice and different flavors for our limited American pallette. :confused3

I wanted to stay in Jambo first because the lobby is fantastic. It really was not too bad, just the pool was hopping. Will load pics tonight. This trip we ate at Boma and Sanaa. I loved Sanaa. I definitely love all kinds of cuisine. I actually did not think it was spicy at all, because I love spicy food, the chef actually made me a special hot sauce, which was great. I know you will enjoy your stay no matter which resort you choose. Hey, it looks like we might be at Disney the same time!

Well, I had my car and used that most of the time, so sorry really cant comment. Parking and the trams ran very smoothly. The only time I used the bus was to head to Beaches and Cream. I arrived at a bad time it took 20 minutes for the bus to show up. The other thing I did not appreciate is early entry day for MK, they did not have the ferry or park only monorail going. Only the resort monorail. So you can imagine the lines waiting for it.:confused3

fun pics! Thanks for sharing. I stayed at Kidani last November and loved it. I've eaten at Sanaa and enjoyed the food as well. I also didn't find it overly spicy, but I like spicy food so perhaps I just didn't notice or different chef that day. I am staying at Jambo House on the second part of my trip in October. I am very excited for this stay.

I rarely have a car when staying on property. I didn't have any issues with the bus transportation at Kidani. I think one morning I just missed the bus and had to wait a little while. But I don't think more than 15 minutes...20 tops. For me it's vacation time and I need to slow down, so if I have to wait, I wait. I'm in Disney and that's all that matters.pixiedust:

Did you participate in any of the resort activities-ceamics, jewelry making, cultural talks, tours of the resturants, movies at the pool? If so, how were they?

My last trip was more commando style due to my travel companions (godson 12 & his sister 9). We did spend a good deal of time at the pool and the kids did enjoy the games and activities there. They also liked the Community Hall at Kidani and of course the arcade.
This trip is my solo trip (tho' I have a friend threatening to just show up ;))
I am hoping to do either restaurant tours or wine tasting in Jiko...
Would love to hear if anyone else has done any of the activities Simba's Mom asked about.

I have 3 teen boys so most of the activities were to young for them. I had every intention of going to the fire pit story time, but alas dinner plans got in the way. We did however do the night vision on site, this was great. We also took the tour of Boma and Jiko and got to sample some food. We rented DVD's from the gift shop but did not watch by the pool. FYI, when you check in they give you a list of all activities and times for that month.

Bets19, the Jiko wine tasting is only on Wednesday's. Unfortunately for me that was our check out day. Please report back and tell us what you thought of the wine tasting. I plan on going my next trip.

The Wine Tasting was full on Wednesday of our trip. You might want to see how early it can be booked to make certain you get in. It's on my agenda for next May! ;)
