Got all my reservations at 180 days

Just got on this morning and the day I was to start booking was already available. For some reason I thought it was 8AM so I hopped on around 7:40. Don't know why I didn't remember that booking starts at 6AM. So up again tomorrow morning! I also have a split stay so that makes it even harder. Maybe the only downside to split stays for me. The next day opened up while I was trying to book the night I wanted for Ohana and again nothing available for the next day. I know eventually spots will open up. They always do but I'm not going to switch my plans around for a restaurant that can be uneven at times. It's not like I can't get food like that where I live. I also couldn't get a brunch at Cali Grill either. I wanted that more than Ohana. Got the time I wanted for a Liberty Tree Tavern lunch for 12/10. We don't have many hard to get reservations on our December trip so I'm not stressing about it. Some of our best meals have been at the lounges. Besides, this year without that 20% AP dining discount and our trip in May, we do have a dining budget this time around. I just hit the reservation finder on TP for Ohana as that has always been helpful in the past. I know I'll get a time eventually but will it be the one I want? If not, then another trip gone by with no Ohana. I'll just switch to something else I've wanted to try instead as I want to make our next trip mostly about places we've never tried.

Sorry you didn’t get what you were looking for. I really wanted to do California Grill lunch but it just didn’t work out with our schedule. I hope you get ‘Ohana through the reservation finder.

If u don't mind me asking why did u think the beginning of the week would be harder? Was it a weekend? Mine is a Sunday to Saturday, I'm thinking Friday night will be harder?

It's the booking window. You can book 180 days from the first day of your vacation, and then can do up to 10 days of your vacation. So early in your vacation has already opened up for people who arrive before you and have an overlapping stay, and they have already had the opportunity to make reservations.

To explain it nicely...

ADR's are 6am eastern time online and 7am eastern time by phone.
If eastern time is in standard time then its EST. (First Sunday in November through the Second Saturday in March)
If eastern time is in daylight savings time then its EDT. (Second Sunday in March through the First Saturday in November)
Currently we are in EDT.
So not to confuse people I just say eastern time when I explain it.

At my 180 day for a trip this December I got:

CRT Breakfast
Crystal Palace Breakfast
BOG Dinner
1900 Park Fair
Via Napoli
La Hacienda (for fireworks)
Beaches and Cream
SciFi Cafe
Victoria & Albert's Queen Victoria Room

and a few more. All except V&A were on our desired dates at time.

I had to be at my computer at 4 am (I'm in Colorado), but I finished up feeling as if I had won the lottery. Been stressing about ADRs for months, but now it's over!

I don't remember how this all went last year but when I look at the calendar now it just shows me on day at a time ADR's available. If you log into MDE on your 180 day then it will show all the days of your trip like for instance mine is 108+4 so I would see all 4 days but not until the 180th day correct?

Correct. In my case though I couldn’t see the other dates on the web site, only on the app. On the website I typed in the future days though and it worked.

Def play with program ahead of time so u get used to how it works! Always refresh if u r stuck! The program is def slow and confused in first couple of minutes! I did on my computer but had my iPad as backup. I had a tab opened for each restaurant I wanted and did in priority order. I had to go to day back space, fill in correct date, wait till it comes up, select time and amount of people! I had 8 so there were issues after I secured my first ressie, breakfast @ 1900 Park Fare. Second issue not all my friends & family were showing up (have that all set up on MDE), so I refreshed, eventually they came up! Third issue could not get DD site to store my credit card, even called and 20 minutes later sitill couldn't do it. Found out the hard way u can't split a group into 2 ressies, it won't unless it's a hour or so later, at least it wouldn't let me do! So have backups ready! Honestly by th afternoon say about 2-3 pm went back on and twick some a little closer to my original times! Overall don't call had a 30 minute wait on phone. I gave up! Good luck to all!!!

This tip is very helpful. I was able to do this on my lap top but not my phone. I'm gonna test my ipad tonight. I'll load MDE tonight and see how that works. I'm crossing my fingers as tomorrow morning is my day to make my ADR's and this thread has been very helpful to me. It's funny cuz the last 2 times I made ADR's I wasn't so stressed out. I think it's because I have a couple of restaurants that are hard to get this time so, I'm really hoping for the best outcome. Thank you all for your tips, I appreciate it!

I got almost everything I wanted, including BOG on our 2nd day. Didn't get PPO Garden Grill, which of course is the one I really wanted. Already set up the Touring Plans alert and will just keep my fingers crossed!

I was lucky and got all of mine as well! I had to adjust our dinner at Homecoming to another day, but I got everything else for the times and days I wanted!

Can you explain how you have a tab opened for each restaurant? Do you mean a different DME window opened for each?

I got everything I wanted, but the Fantasmic dining pkg. is making us eat dinner early (or lunch late). I guess I'll have to keep it, but I've kept checking to see if anything opens later and so far not.
