I hurt myself Friday when I fell... ok you can laugh... at home, after the initial adrenaline wore off my neck began to bother me. :guilty:

Well the intense throbbing and pain dulled down by Saturday night, but I'm still stiff and experiencing some mild pain on the right side of my neck down to my shoulderblade. I'm thinking this is just a strain, but thought by now the pain would be gone.

Any ideas... am going to call the Dr ASAP but they are always slow to call back so curious in the mean time. The main pain is when I bend my neck at all the left or back or forward on that side.

It's strange that I ran across your post because I have a dr's appointment for the same thing at 2:00. My pain also runs from the side of my neck to my shoulder blade. It feels fine during the day, except for when I'm driving and I need to look behind me (for changing lanes or backing up), but the pain is terrible at night when I'm laying down.
I would go see the dr right away if I were you. I kept thinking my pain would go away, but its been hurting for three weeks now so I'm finally giving in and going.
Post what you find out.

I would go see a chiropractor. I had the same pain and it was a because my neck was out of alinement and I had a pinched nerve. I couldnt turn my neck, lift my arm or even lay down with horrible pain...The first thing I did was take motrin. Then ice it. Then I went to get alined and even through I still sore for a few days it was more of a pulled muscle sore, than a omg someone is stabbing in the shoulder sore... but keep taking the motrin and the ice......
