Got a pin code!

Unfortunately when I tried to switch over to Port Orleans, all the rooms were already taken. I was so excited and so sad all in the span of about 10 minutes

same happened to us…..the pin code even says we could stay at Port Orleans again or wherever we'd like. Seems crazy to send out pin codes that aren't any good. We are holding on to our bounceback discount but sure would have loved free dining.

I was told to try back, that there may be some cancellations around the time the final payments are due. Switching to POR vs a family suite at ASMu would've saved us SOOO much money!!

When I called yesterday ( I have been called every 2 days to see if I can change resorts) the CM told me to keep trying.. and maybe more rooms might open up later....So here is to hoping!

well last time I called, they had River view avail under the dining pin at FQ and now that's completely sold out. In fact, EVERY value and moderate is sold out for the free dining pin! Not much of a pin but at least I know we finally got one so maybe they'll be more in the future!

It's crazy how the availability has differed with the latest round of pins going out. I was able to apply the pin I got this week to 2 standard rooms at POFQ. I was mentally prepared to be told nothing was left. Guess we're lucky to be going during a less-busy week mid-Sept. Certainly looks like they're cutting back on the number of FD rooms though.

Lesson learned.. next time I look at the bounceback and avoid this stress!

We arrive on Sept 4th!! I'm shocked that so much is booked up for that time frame. We have free QSDP on our All star Music suite, but moving to POR would save us almost $600 just on the room cost alone! Nevermind that I'd really love to stay there!!

We're a family of 5, so we have limited choices on where we can stay.

I'd definitely keep trying. Availability does sometimes change and something might open up at POR under your PIN. Good luck .

We got the pin as well, and were able to switch two rooms over from POP to POR for Sept 21st - Oct 1st. When I called (yesterday), they had garden view and Royal Rooms available for our travel period.

I got the same pin last week and easily switched to POFQ for our dates, standard room. I thought for sure it would be sold out but it wasn't. Keep trying!

Just curious when are your travel dates? The only time I've received a pin was in 2012 when we took our 1st family trip and that thing was tossed to the side for weeks before I went back a nod looked at it. Knowing the value of receiving a pin now I'd be jumping for joy if I got one in the mail. I guess Disney isn't sending them out as much as they used to or maybe now they know I'm hooked. Lol

I was able to use the free dining pin to book 2 rooms at POFQ for Dec 18-25 last week. Yay first time getting a pin for a time I can use it. Switched my bounce back to this offer. All the rooms were almost full.
