Got a package from my Guide.. but....

Okay.. so I called DVC and was set up with a guide... I talked over the nuts and bolts and basically told him that I had done all of my research and that I had made up my mind to make my purchase. I have an appointment to meet with him next week when I am in Florida.. but he said he would set me up now so that I can have the benefits of the DVC membership right away.... I gave my deposit in full.... and he said he would send my package to me to review... and that they can reprint everything in florida.. no need for me to bring the package with me to florida... Okay.. I am all excited anticipating my package.. he said he would FEDEX it... so... today it arrives... I open it up... and inside is a DVC box... which I then open up.. and inside is.... what appears to the the advertisement for DVC???????? Why would he send me this??? I have already put down a deposit.. why would I get a sales pitch package??? Should I have gotten a contract or something in the mail to review/complete??? Does anyone know?? Thanks!

That sounds like the sales package that DVC sends to its potential buyers. Why don't you call your guide back in the morning and see what's up

I am planning on doing just that.. but I thought all you very wise DVC'ers would shed some light on it for me!! LOL!! Oh well... Just so darn excited about my purchase.. can't wait to get it rolling! Thanks!

Hope you got the box in a lovelyDVC backpack...Otherwise make sure to ask your guide for that too.....espicially since they had to work soo hard on your sale.............

Hi There!

If it's any consolation.....

I too received "the info box" (actually 2 of them) AFTER I put doen the $500, a couple of days later, I received "the Goodie Box" with the contract & whatnot.

The "info boxes" are sent out from Georgia as opposed to Celebration.....I think it's an automated thing.

LOL!!! That is just tooooo funny!!! I will make sure I do just that! Thanks for the heads up! I was thinking that the correct package would come later... especially because I told my guide to fedex it to my office to assure that I would get it.. and he took my address ... and then the fedex was at my house... sooooooo ... I surmised that this went out after my first call with him... and then when i called back mere moments later with my deposit.. he might have set up my "real" package to go out... Crossing my fingers!!! I think he was shocked that I just sort of called and purchased!

We purchased SSR w/o seeing it first as well. We were just happy to be apart of the DVC family. We got our goodies and contract in the mail and our membership cards came a few weeks after. Can't wait to make our first trip home. Good Luck

ps. Eventhough we bouth SSR, for our first trip home, we are staying at BCV. I can't wait to bring my white gloves to check the dust levels on top of the lights!!!
