Got a COOL offer in mail today

I was VERY surprised to open the mail today and have an offer from WDW for 40% off value resorts. So I did what any Red blooded Lover of the world did. Called and made reservations.. WOO HOOO.. only 120 days left before we leave

We also received one in the mail yesterday and promptly e-mailed Sue Ellen with the code and booked a trip!!! When my DH came home from work our DD8 and DS7 broke the news to him.

I am not sure if you know, but the code was good for moderates and deluxes as well.

We got one too!! It is my first ever postcard from Disney and I have been umm at least 20 times!! I was so excited. We have to book by March 15th so we are quickly trying to decide when to go. We are already planning a trip for the fall, but now we really have to pick our dates.

SO how much did it come to a night? Good for you!! I get 'em and can never use 'em cause we're a family of 5!!! Now maybe I could use them at a mod or deluxe, but I want the value price, dang it!!

this whole code thing has been a HUGE topic of conversation on the resorts board...y'all may want to go over there and check the "codes and rates" board. There has been A LOT of confusion in regards to the code being "general" or "household specific". Lots of people called in and booked today and got the discount. They just asked if there was a code for the dates they were traveling and they got it!

Some fear this is a "glitch" in the reservations system and the offer will be revoked...other say it isn't...everyone is getting conflicting info, but if you are interested I'd go check it out. It may well be a public code. Give it a try!!

The postcards and emails with codes are nontransferable and posting the code is a DISboard violation. I would suggest all read the sticky note from the moderators about this posted on the Codes Forum. You don't want to get those new points against you by the moderators.

The public use codes will always be posted on the DIS discount page.

I know what you mean. We have been going since I was 2 and I am now 26 almost 27. Anyway in the past 2 years we have gone about 6 times alone and this is the first time we have ever gotten anything like this. I hope you get one soon. My guess is it is completely random. I think you are on the mailing list as soon as you stay at Disney because they will have all your info. Anyway this is my first and it is very exciting...I hope you get your first soon!!!!!

I was thinking the same as all of you about wishing to get 40% off. But I got thinking.... for our large family we make out the best on the free food offer. We were lucky to get in on the first offer in 2005 and I am hoping for this year. This year we will have 6 at ten and above and 2 at 3-9. That is a savings of $256 plus I believe tax a day on the free food plan vs. $116/night savings on moderate at 40% off or $172night savings at WL or AK standard room. So I will keep hoping for the free food offers!!!
