You have to get rid of them, because aren't they what cause the grub worms??? thought i heard that somewhere..
Bugs oh my I agree, pick em off . If they are Japanese beetles then chances are you have grubs in the lawn too.
We're always dealing with grubs because we're next to the woods and fields. I try and spot treat the lawn here and there to keep the population down but it's hard. The beetles love my roses and I get a thrill out of knocking em off and drowning them. Sick huh but they can eat a rose in no time.
