Got $70 off my already purchsed airtran tix..you should call!

I just called and received a $120 credit good until one year from the original booking date. The agent told me that normally there is a fee but she was dropping it b/c I was not actually changing anything AND that I was a rewards member. She said that if I had not signed up for the rewards program it would not have been waived.

That's interesting. I'm a rewards member also, singed up the day I bought the tickets. Maybe that's why they didn't charge me a fee.

no offense to the people who were able to obtain the "waiver" of the fee but, the rule is clearly posted on the AT website as to changes...why do companies selectively enforce their policies?

JMO -if they're trying to compete w/SW's liberal policies, they should officially change their rules for everyone, not just those who ask.:confused3

I've changed flights and gotten partial refunds for many Airtran flights and have never been charge that $50. AT keeps that as an option but has never asked for it from me.
