Okay, so we used google maps and printed out directions to our hotel, to the parks, to the port(for our cruise), and back to the airport for WDW, and WOW, it was so confusing, and it seemed like we only went 13 miles or so to the hotel from the airport and had to pay like at 8 different toll booths, anybody have any short cuts, or ways around the tolls??

There should not be 8 toll booths from MCO to a Disney-area hotel. Maybe you could post here where exactly you are going and what roads the Google maps have you going on - then someone might be able to help more.

(If you're talking about 8 tolls total for all those segments of your trip, that might be closer to accurate.)

Other than I-4, Orlando does not really have much in the way of free expressways. I have no idea what roads you went on but Disney to MCO has 2 tolls via TOLL 417 (Central Florida Greeneway) but could have a third ramp toll if you got to the 417 via Osceola Parkway. Disney to MCO via TOLL 528 (Beachline) is just 2 toll plazas. From MCO out to Port Canaveral is just 1 more toll plaza.

Consider investing in a SunPass. If you use your own car, the SunPass Mini costs $5 but comes with $5 worth of tolls. If you use rental cars, the regular SunPass is $25 but can be taken with you from car to car. Some tolls are lower with SunPass but even when they're not, the convenience of passing through toll plazas at highway speed versus waiting in line is awesome! SunPass can be ordered online and within Florida can be purchased at Publix, CVS and service plazas along Florida's Turnpike. It can be used on toll roads and bridges throughout Florida.
