We have been to Goofys Kitchen for Breakfast before, but we are wondering how dinner is there. Is the food good at dinner? Do they have a large selection? and What time do they open for dinner?

Thanks for the help.

I know that they open for dinner at 5 p.m. I think the last seating may be 9 p.m. or the restaurant stops serving at 9 p.m., something like that. So you don't want to get the seating time that's too close to that closing because characters trickle out and the food stops being replenished. There is just as big of a selection as there is at breakfast. I've only done the dinner a couple of times and it was long, long ago. I've always preferred the breakfast and have not been motivated enough to try the dinner again yet (I will eventually). I have read a lot of mixed reviews on the dinner. Some DIS'ers say its really good food. Others say it's not good. I think a lot of it is based on personal tastes, though.

I would love to know more details about dinner as well. We've done breakfast/lunch a few times & would like to switch it up this time & try the dinner.

We went a few weeks ago and really liked it. We go to WDW a lot, so the lack of dining options at DL was a little weird for us. (We like character meals.) I was really glad we gave this one a try. I thought it had a very good variety of food and good character interaction too. Our reservation was at 6:50pm.

It was a few weeks ago so my memory isnt great but there was a carving station with prime rib and maybe another meat too, some sort of seafood (i dont eat it but my DH did) some sort of chicken dish, potstickers, grilled/sauted veggies, a pasta dish, fun kids pizza (PB&J for example), mac and cheese, hot dogs and nuggets, lots of salad stuff, fresh fruit and lunch meat type stuff if I remember right. I cant forget the desserts- there were TONS of choices and they were all good! I am sure I am forgetting stuff too.

My dh and I had dinner there in December 09 and it was good. The only part lacking were the desserts. I have dinner booked there for this coming Monday for my solo trip. I am going for the food, not the characters :lmao:

Thanks so much, I am not a big Breakfast eater and I really want to try the dinner. Also I hope to get a reservation for as early as they open for dinner.

We go everytime it's our son favorite spot, he eats more food at Goofy's than anywhere else.
Like all buffets they have a carving station with all the sides, salads, fruits, fried foods, veggies and some asian dishes, salmon. They have an area for the kids to get food and when we were there it had mac in cheese, pasta, popcorn shrimp and other items Im most likely forgetting.
Had tons of desserts.

We had dinner there November 2010. There were tons of choices - lots of breads, rice, pasta, veggies, meat, including carving station, plus tons of desserts and "goofy" food like PB&J pizza. My DH is a very picky eater and he loved it. Good character interaction too - Minnie, Goofy, Aladdin, Chip and Dale, and Mulan. There was dancing with the kids that we did just a little, but they all came to our table multiple times. We really loved it.
