What meal should we have there? Do they serve all 3 breakfast, luch, and dinner? Does anyone know what is on the menu? I checked the menu database, but didn't see it on there.
I have a very picky 5 year old dd, and a 3 year old ds..
Thanks!!

They serve buffet all day long - breakfast, brunch and then a short break, I THINK, and then dinner. Dinner is more expensive than breakfast/brunch, and peak season (summer, Christmastime, ect.) is more expensive than off-peak (late September, October, etc.) The food is great. There are a LOT of choices for everyone because it is a buffet-only restaurant. Goofy's has more choices than the other character buffets, which operate as 'regular' restaurants the rest of the time. First of all, the fruit is outstanding! I don't know what they do to it, but their fruit salad is excellent. GREAT bacon. Great eggs and potatoes. My friend LOVES their biscuits and gravy, the Mickey-shaped peach cobbler and the croissants. They also have apple cobbler, French toast, Mickey-shaped waffles, pepperoni pizza (yes, for breakfast!), worms and dirt and P,B&J pizza for the kids. They have lots of pastries, sausage, ham, lox, chicken (yes, for breakfast!), these delicious mini-muffins, etc. The food is awesome. The juice and coffee are fresh and delicious. It is just a wide variety of good food that they keep refreshed the whole time. There should be enough there to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters!

Yup, everything the above poster mentioned. They had a separate little island with all the kid food- mickey pancakes, mickey waffles, chicken nuggets, pizza, mac n cheese, pb&j pizza. THen they have the desserts and pastries island- muffins, creme brulee french toast, cakes, croissants, cookies etc. Soft serve ice cream with toppings. My dh liked the freshly made omelettes. The bacon was awesome- nice and thick and crispy! My kids are picky too but they love goofys kitchen!! So much to choose from.

When I called disney dining last week for our Dec. dates, the cost of children was the same for brunch/dinner and dinner was only $4 more for adults or something. I also have a picky child, but it looks like they at least have hot dogs and mac & cheese! LOL Anyway, what closed the deal for dinner was the cast member told me they have more characters during dinner, 8-10 vs. 6-8 during the day. He recommended going right at 5 pm because it gets packed at 6 and after.

Our worst experience at Goofy's was during dinner. We didn't see but 1 character the whole night, a kid at the table next to us left crying. HORRIBLE and the CM and Manager had no real excuse either. It was just horrible.

Anyways, our first breakfast here was wonderful, our second was alright.

Just throwing out our experience........which obviously isn't "typical".

We usually skip breakfast, go for a late brunch, lots of wonderful food, and then we aren't hungry for the rest of the day (maybe have ice cream on Main St. in the evening!) We've had great character interaction every time we've gone, and have seen a lot of different characters -- Fairy Godmother, Mad Hatter, Goofy (of course), Pluto, Aladdin, Genie, Chip and Dale, Max (Goofy's son), just off the top of my head.

Oh my gosh we just got back from dinner at Goofys and it was by far the BEST meal and character interaction we have ever had (and we usually do 1 or more a day at WDW)!!!!

The food was excellent, the service was great and the character interaction was top notch. I don't know for sure how many characters there were. Um... Minnie, Chip and Dale, Aladdin and Jasmine, Pluto, Goofy, I think that was it but I'm not for sure.

The kids had sooo much fun with them.. each one took a ton of time at the table and then towards the end of the meal each came back (sometimes several at a time) and played. Chip was on the floor with DD's beach towel with both girls underneath. Minnie and Goofy were playing around and Goofy pushed Minnie and so she came behind to get away and sat down and drew on the table wiht the kids. Jasmine and Aladdin taught the girls to dance...

What day of the week and time did you go? I'm trying to decide when it'd be best. The CM told me at 5 pm, but I was considering a Friday and wondered if it'd be packed.

The only thing I would worry about in going at a time when there are fewer people in the restaurant (not as busy) is that it may result in less character interaction. The experience we have had at Goofy's has usually been (in 16 years of eating there) lots of characters stopping by (and we are adults with no kids!) and then coming back to visit again - sometimes so fast and furious that we can barely get bites of food. Seeing that we like to eat the yummy food too, we like a little more time in between character visits to eat, but other people want non-stop characters. And have had them non-stop soemtimes. The one and ONLY time we have ever been to Goofy's where it seemed like the characters must be on vacation and nobody was coming by the table was ALSO a time where the restaurant was very quiet in terms of diners. It was a slow morning.

So, I think that the cast of characters really doesn't start to pour out in full force until there are a LOT of people in the restaurant. That is my guess. You will get a few characters before that, but I tend to think there are MORE when it is very busy (because they have to keep all of those people happy) and not as many characters when the restaurant is slower. So you have to kind of decide if you want a handful of characters in a quieter restaurant, or if you want a LOT of characters in a very BUSY restaurant.

We don't like the dinner selections at Goofy's nearly as much as I liked the breakfast stuff, so we probably miss out on a lot of extra characters that only come out at night when it is super-busy!
