How is this dinner? Anyone been there lately? I would like to know what kind of food they have there. Am I correct in believing that this would be the only place for a character dinner? Is Lilo & Sitch's character breakfast still happeneing? We are going again in August for DS's birthday and he wants to go to Goofy's Kitchen... we have AP's but would like to pre buy our tcikets for dinner - where can I do this and get the AP discount, I did se that Getaway today sells them, too for a reduced price....

When I go to Goofy's Kitchen, I usually go during brunch. But here's a small idea of what they have for dinner that's from allearsnet:
Carved Roasted Prime Rib
Fresh Catch of the Day
Seasonal Vegetables
Tossed Salads
Sliced Fresh Fruit
Corn on the Cob
Pluto's Hot Dogs
Goofyroni & Cheese
Dessert Station
Soft-Serve Yogurt with Toppings
And much, much more!
I'm sure that they would also have pizza, like they would for brunch, and maybe enchaladas or some other Mexican type dish. During brunch they have an omlette bar and breakfast foods like sausage, breakfast potatoes, mickey waffles, etc.
And yes, Lilo & Stitch's Character breakfast is still going on as well as other character breakfasts like Chip & Dale's @ GCH & Minnie and Friends @ DLR.
I know that you can make reservations by calling Disney Dining @ (714) 781-DINE (3473) and you can just show your AP card when you pay.

Thanks for taking the time to tell me! All of that will be just perfect! I know everyone will be able to find something they like there! I will make sure everyone comes hungry! It can be kinda expensive @ $37 per person - for a buffet! I just wanted to make sure it was worth it!

Thank you thank you!

I made our PS yesterday!

:)

i loved it no where else served shrimp went to dinner and found it i was in heaven i love shrimp and couldnt afford it where i was going to get it. finding ti there gave me a hype for the night

they had lots of meat cut off the bone right in front of you umm i cant rememeber all the food but i say its like 20 dollers for food and 17 for charcters and dont forget 32 for the goffy pic

We had Dinner at Goofy's (Goofy, Pluto, Wendy, Alice, Minnie and Chip) on June 7th, and then dinner at Ariel's Grotto (Princess's and Minnie) on June 9th.

Goofy's was a buffet with a wide choice of options. THere was pizza, hot dogs, mac and cheese, salad, roast beef, chicken in a few different ways, salmon, etc. LOTS of variety and about every type of food you could want. DH who is picky had no problem eating a full meal and neither did the kids or I.

Ariel's was a tad harder for dh. He had the chicken pot pie there and it was ok. I had the salmon sandwich which was quite tasty. My 9 yr old had chicken tenders I think, and my almost 6 yr old had pasta. They had carrots and celery with dip as an appetizer (only thing offered to kids) and we had chicken noodle soup (there were 3 choices in all). We had dessert as part of the meal, two of us had ice cream, two had the chocolate cake but there were 2 other options.

Hope that helps.

If you have AAA, be sure and show them that, they will give you 10% off your bill. That $37 is steep, but it includes the gratuity and your non alcoholic beverage. We love Goofy's for dinner and try to do it each trip. We have always had a very good meal and the characters have been plentiful. I also like Ariel's but my son doesn't enjoy the princess format as much as my daughter does. Goofy's has always had a princess or two so that is nice compromise for my family.

They also usually have some sort of Mexican food. Like build your own fajitas or build your own fish tacos in addition to the stuff the other posters have mentioned. I think Goofy's has the widest variety of food and characters of any other character meal/buffet at DL.

Its very lively in there and a lot of fun.

We went to Goofy's kitchen on June 7th--4 adults $144.56 with the AAA discount. I thought this was definately overpriced. They include the tip and I felt the waitress wasn't that friendly or efficient. The food was ok, nothing great. In fact, my daughter had a hotdog and the roll was stale along with the dinner rolls. The characters were really good, but this place is definately overpriced. Because it is the only dinner buffet with characters, it sells! We went to LasVegas the following week and there wasn't a buffet as expensive as this one (and there are a lot of Vegas buffets and they aren't cheap). Just my opinion!

How in the world did you remember all of that? :worship: I would forget as soon as I walked out the door.:confused3

All i rembered was the shrimp good for you with your memory lol
also i never see how much it costs i get the meal plan and dinner at goffys is included. to me 160 isnt bad for 4 charcter meals and 2 or 3 15doller vouchers pluse snacks and 5dollers and 10doller vouchers. 160 makes since on how much id be paying in food.

I think what helped me to remember it is that since I am a pescetarian (vegetarian who eats fish) I have to pay extra attention to what I am eating. We have been there three times so that might have something to do with it, lol. I guess I am just odd like that! LOL.

I just called for a price and they told me 44.00 per adult!! Is it 37.00 does anyone know??

We had the AAA card and it came to 144.56 for 4 adults and believe me was not worth the money. They include the tip in that total.

I just checked on getaway today's website and bthey are still selling the tix for the dinner for $35.00. I think that is better than AP or AAA discount?? Am I right?

there are online places to get the tickets for cheaper. Disney Visa also gives you 10% off, and Getaway today had a coupon book that had a coupon for 10% off as well.
