Does anyone know the current summer price for Goofy's breakfast? The only price I've seen seems kind of low since it's considered a Premium dining place.

TIA!

It is around $45, the price does not change based on the season. One note that are is currently being remodeled, so seating may be limited and the views will most likely be of construction walls.

Ouch, we have 2 reservations coming up at Goofy's 15-19 July timeframe.

We were there in March and it was not really affected by the Disneyland Hotel construction at all, guess we should figure this out why we still have time.

Have things changed at Goofy's? I know they had a bit of a remodel earlier this year, so did the pricing change when that happened?

I ask because I have been eating at Goofy's Kitchen for almost 20 years and, thus far, the price most definitely changes with the season. Unless everything about the pricing at Goofy's has suddenly changed since I was last there in December - and it's possible it has, so you never know - I think these things still apply:

Right now it is peak season and the rates are peak rates for both breakfast and dinner. Sometime in late August or early September, Goofy's will go back to off-season rates, which will only be about $5 or $6 cheaper. Then, in time for the holiday season, rates will go back to peak season rates. Then they will come down early next year when it's off-peak season.

The Goofy's peak season breakfast - unless they have suddenly seen a lofty price increase overall - is typically $37 and some change - I think it might be $37.51 or $37.74 or something like that (I can't recall the exact amount but it was over $37!), give or take a few cents, and that is the price including the tax and 15% tip which is automatically applied to the bill (18% for larger parties). It's not $45 as far as I know. The dinner is more likely the $45 you are thinking of, but the OP asked about breakfast. Again, this is assuming that the rates have not gone up drastically and/or there is no more seasonal pricing since I was last there in December. If you have an AP you can get a discount on food at Goofy's, too.

There are lots of changes happening at DLR these days - the DLH among them - so I don't doubt that Goofy's pricing will go up a couple of bucks in general this year or next year (not just seasonally), if it hasn't gone up already, but to hike the breakfast from $37 to $45 seems a bit extreme.

I can't comment on the construction in the area of Goofy's because, as I said, I was last there in early/mid-December. At that point there was no construction around that area of the hotel that interfered with Goofy's in any way. Later in December the specific construction in Goofy's started but it has been complete for a while, I think. Guests were temporarily relocated to the ballroom to eat while work was being done, but the regular Goofy's reopened earlier this year.

Thanks for the info Sherry, I was just wondering if I should purchase the dining vouchers, or just pay cash? Looks like vouchers would be okay for mid July.

We just ate there the morning of June 15th and were charged $25.99 per person.

I'm not sure what was it on 6/15 but the seasonal pricing right now is $29.99 + 8.75% tax + 15% tip, which totals to around $37.50 or $37.51, which is in the range of what I told the OP earlier. This is the adults' price, of course, and does not include any discounts with AP's.

In the off-peak season, the price will drop by about $5, if they don't raise the rates overall by the time off-peak season rolls around.

If the vouchers will save you any money and be slightly cheaper than $37.51, then might as well go for it! Mid-July is definitely peak season prices!

Never been to DL before but will be there in Sept. Curious...what does the $37 per person for breakfast include? To take my three daughters for breakfast will cost almost $150??

Will this be your first-ever character meal, or just the first one at DLR?

It's not an inexpensive outing, that's for sure!:rotfl2: Keep in mind that by September, the prices will have dropped a few bucks because that will once again be off-peak season. Currently the peak season prices for adults at the breakfast are the $37+ total (and that includes tax and tip). By September, the off-peak season adult breakfast price should drop down to $32-ish. I don't know the ages of your daughters but kids' prices are a little bit cheaper.

The buffet at Goofy's is quite substantial. There's something for everyone and there are many choices - this is the largest selection of food out of all the character meals, which is why Disney feels it qualifies for a higher price. (Somewhere around here there are various DIS'ers' posts with comprehensive photos of all the offerings. I'll try to find them.)

Also, I've noticed that anything involving Princesses seems to instantly qualify as a "premium" character meal. While Goofy's mainly features furry characters (Goofy, Chip, Dale, Baloo, Pluto, etc.), there are usually at least a couple of Princesses (and sometimes Princes, too) in the restaurant. It could be a combo of Aurora and Belle, or Belle and Jasmine, or Jasmine and Snow White, or Snow White and Mulan, or Mulan and Cinderella, etc. You never know. All the characters visit your table, assuming that things are running like clockwork that day. Sometimes there are complaints at the different restaurants that the characters skipped a table here and there, but usually the characters all visit your table to interact and pose for photos.
