My daughter drives that way on Wed. She manages to get over to Rogers so she can eat af PF Changs.

OOOOOHHHHHH!!!!! Lettuce wraps at Changs are to die for! We haven't been there in quite a while, but I love the smell through out the mall from PF Chang's!

We have a local place here that actually makes them better than PF Changs. It is my Wed. meal. And they deliver. Changs and Cheesecake Factory are 2 of my fav places. Our big city is supposed to get them within the next 4 years. I just drive to Kansas City

Ever since I read your report on your stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, I just KNEW that we had to stay there. Finally, when I started planning our "Mom & Me" trip for my 14 yr old dd, we both decided to stay at AKL!!! I was going to surprise her with a bunk bed room, but couldn't keep the secret so she was super excited and couldn't wait to get there!!

This trip for us would be bitter sweet. About a month before we left, my dad passed away. Although he had been sick for a while, we just weren't ready. We decided to still take our trip, and we even talked my mom into coming with us.

Although we had our sad moments and thought of him often, we still had a GREAT time!!! It was so nice! We were surprised with a stretch limo ride from the airport, the view out of our room was of the pool & hot tub, the weather was just perfect, and there were NO CROWDS at the parks!!!! (On Tuesday, around lunch time, it did start to get a little crowded - 20 minute wait on Big Thunder.)

I just can't say enough about AKL! It was so relaxing and quiet (just what we needed this trip!)!! I think I can still "smell" the lodge! Everyone was so nice and welcoming!!! It was such a nice walk down the Giraffe Trail to our room! The hotel was just everything you could ever imagine a resort to be!!! And on Wed morning as we were leaving for the airport, they had just finished putting up the Christmas tree!!!! It was breathtaking!!!!

We really had a nice trip - and thoroughly enjoyed the resort! Thanks for getting us hooked on AKL!!!!!

Hope your upcoming trip is as great as the others! (DD & I love our "Mom & Me" trips too.)

I wanted to get caught up before I leave! I hope your T-day was a good one.

The pictures of MK minus the crowds are wonderful to see. My DH and I went in Sept. last year and it looked about the same in the early hours. You were able to get so much done before lunch. That is the way to do it! That crab dip did look very tasty!

Freshly back from WDW and newly inspired to get my rear in gear and get some serious trip report writing done. I am happy to report that Aladdin's birthday trip went very well and I had one heck of a time meeting a slew of awesome DISers during DISapalooza and riding Toy Story Mania (with zero lines) until my poor firing arm couldn't pull any more.

I was lucky enough to get to see jess98ac!! She has good eyes and spotted Aladdin as we were walking down the street at Hollywood Studios! Her daughter was cuter than Minnie Mouse herself! I am thrilled to have gotten the oppurtunity to meet her.

Another wonderful DISer couple was staying at the BWI at the same time as us. We ran into them one day in the Inn Keeper's lounge and started talking and just kept talking and talking. During the conversation Skunkvette and his beautiful wife were kind enough to offer to have their California Grill reservation turned from an ADR for two to one for four. We shared an outstanding meal with them (the company and the food were both great). I had sushi and ostrich and REALLY loved both of them. Who knew OSTRICH was one of my favorite meals?! But, it truly is!

Off to throw my last load in the dryer and then collapse for the night. I will be back shortly with the next update in Goofy's trip report. I am starting to collect a back log of trips here...and I do not want to start letting the details slip or start to weave themselves together in my head. Thus, I have to start writing.
