I have been seeing alot of mention to Goofy's Candy Company in Downtown Disney, but can't seem to find much info on it. Can someone please fill me in? What is there, prices, etc. Just trying to get an idea to see if this is somewhere to take our boys. Don't want to break the bank!!!!

TIA

Paula

We just came back and visited Goofy's SEVERAL times!! We went on our first day and got the Goofy's Glaciers. You can purchase the "feet" my dd's chose princess and "top" dd's chose a princess hat, then you choose the color cup you want, I think pink, purple, blue, or green and fill it w/your choice of slurpee type drinks. It's like $8-9 initially for the cup and drink, but refills are like $3. There's also alot of candy, cookies, ect.. You can also make your own creations w/marshmallow, pretzels, cookies, ect, dipped in different chocolates and then sprinkled w/your choice of items, they aren't that expensive - less than $5.00. The other candies in the store aren't cheap, but if you only get one or two things, its not that bad. It's a fun place to go, but if you take your kids, you can't just browse, you're going to have to buy them something :goodvibes !! We usually just got drink refills for the dd's because we were usually just too stuffed from the dp to get anything to eat. We brought some candy for souveniers, but none for ourselves. Have fun!!

We just returned also and we did the create your own thing at Goofy's. Emily, 12-year-old, got pretzels dipped in milk chocolate with oreo crumbles, rainbow sprinkles and crushed M & M's (one pretzel log each) and then all three were drizzled with more chocolate. Her's was $3 something. I got the rice krispie treat, dipped in white chocolate, coated w/rainbow sprinkles and then drizzled with milk chocolate. I couldn't eat it all at once, it was so rich with all that chocolate. It was good, though. Mine was closer to $5, I think. We didn't make it back there again, but I might have bought another one to bring home.

I had never heard of this place until late last week when someone posted pics and TOTALLY convinced me that we will be there in January!!!! If you do a search you should have no problem finding the pics and forming your own opinion. It's talked about in some good detail there as well.

Seems like entertainment as much as it is Candy - just another way Disney makes something as normal as candy into something that much more fun!

I think you will definitely enjoy it. My husband and I had a good time watching the CMs make delicious-looking treats. We didn't buy anything, but I don't see how you could go with kids and not buy something. All the items there are priced similarly to other Disney candy shops. Definitely not cheap for candy, but not likely to bankrupt you.

I read somewhere that Goofy's Candy Co. also offers bagels and pastries for a pretty reasonable price. Does anyone know if this is true? We are staying at SSR and would love to pick up a few items to have as breakfast in our room.

Thanks!
