Goofy's Candy Co. and Dole Whip Floats?

bumping to try and get an answer on the dole whip thing.
I like Dole Whips and all, you know...but I'm not that nuts about them.

HOWEVER, I am in a distinct minority. I fearlessly predict that if the word comes back that Dole Whips are not allowed, things are going to get REALLY ugly in a hurry!

SERIOULSY!!! we are taking it so seriously that it is truely factoring into our decision to/not to purchase the DDP for our next trip. Silly, i know, but DH is a stickler for principal....and we all love our dole whips.

I know, I know. Some inconveniences (like having to pay $10 per person per day out of your pocket for tips, or having a third of the food eliminated) upset people and make them yell at the poor servers.

But Dole Whips? Dole Whips are bottle-throwing, burn-the-place-down material! Dole Whips are SERIOUS!

...and I'm being serious. Well, sorta. They really are important to a lot of people. Kinda like donuts.

I find this thread rather amusing. People are going nuts and deciding whether or not to do DDP based on dole whips... yet not one person who has been there in the past 8 days who is on the DIS has ordered one. Maybe I am the only who sees the irony?

there are some who are tied in knots about not being able to order certain candies, or appetizers, some who are upset about donuts.....we could care less about those things...we can get them elsewhere or simply don't wan't/need them. the dole whips however are illusive little buggers - can only get them in MK and they are a family favorite that we induldge in several times thru our vacations.

are they the only deciding factor in our decision about the DDP? heck no. (now that would be just silly) but if they are/are not included as a snack credit, along with other items that we are cost factoring....may help us make a decision either way on the DDP.

and yes, they must be having a cold snap in florida that the weather station isn't reporting on....too cold to eat ice cream drenched in pinapple juice this week?!?!?! come on....there must be a dining plan user out there somewhere who has ordered one of these things since the begining of 2008.

They are either too happy to post, or too furious to type anything that would not violate DIS posting rules.

I, for one, am not passing on DDP this year because of donuts. I'm not using it any more because I can eat better offsite...and for less money.

The loss of the donuts is just proof-positive that I made the right decision!

Dole whips are not a deciding factor for us. We are just curious because we like them so much. We have already booked the Dxdp for upcoming March but it would just be nice to know what items are still considered snacks.

I have read on, other threads, that the dole whip is alive and well on the DDP for 2008. There have been reports that they have been able to get the whips with a snack credit. Personally, I can't live without the pineapple floats.

Thanks for your reply TL SNELL 1981!! That eases my mind! Even tho I would def. pay oop for them, it just makes it that much easier to use our sc's. :goodvibes

I too read that Dole Whip Floats are included. I must admit they are really good and I cannot wait to have another next month. I will say though that if they were not offered, I would still order the DDP as it gives me an excuse to have a nice sit down dinner each day. :goodvibes
