Does anyone know if you can still get Dole Whip Floats and the mkae your own candy at Goofy's Candy Co?

I will be so bummed if we can't!

Thanks!!

Don't know the answer, but am wondering about Goofy's candy...can you tell me more about this? (I'm making a list of the things we definitely want to do, and have never done this before!)

Tell me all...where is it? What is it???

Thanks!

Chris

I just read in another post that the make your own treats at Goofy's are a-ok and included on the plan! :cool1: I cannot wait to have chocolate covered everything! :lmao:

We just used the DDP snack option for a dole whip float without problem. However, that was the last couple of days in 2007. I wonder if it will change in 2008.

You must go to Goofy's Candy CO. It is in DTD near the entrance to the Marketplace, I believe. Last year it was on the DDP as snack item. Anyway you can select a Mickey rice krispie treat(giant) and you select your toppings and you can watch them make it. I had mine dipped in milk chocolate, then half side in chopped Butterfingers and the other side in chopped Resees pieces and then drizzled with caramel. Fat free too! :rolleyes1

You could also choose marshmallows on a stick dipped the same way or pretzel rods. Hope it is still available this year!

Dole whip float and dole whip were on as far as Sept. Me and DW each had one and they were great.

EVERYTHING in Disney is fat free. Does this look like a face that would tell a lie? :confused3

I would be surprised if the signle serve treats were excluded. It looks like they are just shoring up a loophole. Really a whole bag of tostitios, box of doughnuts, half gallon of milk, loaf of bread, sleeve of bagels, full sized bag of pretzels, full sized bag of candy were never intended to be a one time snack for one. I'm sure at some point it was just easier to make everything $4 or under count not realizing that people could squeeze an additional meal out of the snack credits.

In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter what we buy that is $4 and under? I mean if they set the limit for snack at $4, why would they then care if we chose a box of doughnuts over a bottle of water? I just do not see why they would restrict this as well. They have already cut out the appys and tips. :confused3

I'm sure it is more of a question of how far those snacks go, rather than one of item cost. A box of donuts and a half gallon of milk made for 3 days' worth of breakfasts from two snack credits on our last trip, saving us from spending *any* money OOP for the 1 meal/day that wasn't covered by the dining plan. Eliminating the larger, shareable options will force people to either use a snack credit per person for breakfast, increasing the odds that they'll be buying drinks and snacks OOP later, or pay OOP for breakfast.

I also wonder about Goofy's Candy company. The make your own pretzels are our favorite snacks! :woohoo: I hope they are still on the plan!

The make your own stuff is OK--almost everything in store is not--unless very small single serving or drink.

Just there today.

I love the DDDP however I am bummed about the snacks. I used to use the snack credits to get small containers of cotton candy and the mickey mouse rice krispy treats to take back to our grandchildren and the children I watch. I don't even know if these are allowed anymore? Can any one tell me? thanks

As long as they are single servings they will be allowed. Not sure about the larger containers of cotton candy but we did get rice krispy treats.
