DAY 2 - 16th December 2005
Weather Report: Started cold and then warmed up a little. Mostly clouds with some sun. Cold evening.
First Full Day
Woke at 2:30am, 5:30am and 6:30am, finally got up at 7am!
Last trip we hardly ever had breakfast and just had an early brunch in the parks, but DDs moaned this time that they wanted proper breakfasts - so I put I them in my plan and budget etc.... So we were all prepared to go for breakfast when DDs said: "Can we skip breakfasts and go straight to the park". Typical!
So we headed straight to MK after seaching for the bus stops for 15 minutes. The Dolphin is huge! The lobby is on the 3rd floor, which is ground level for the front entrance, but at the rear (the Swan side), ground level is on the first floor! So depending where you wanted to go you had to decide whether you wanted the lobby or the first floor! Took us ages to find our directions LOL
After finally finding the bus stop we watched as two DTD buses came, then two AK buses, and then finally two MK buses pulled up together.
Arrived at MK around 9:30am. The crowds didn't seem too bad. After the seemingly pointless bag check we headed straight in.
We took a nice gentle walk up Main Street, taking in all the decorations and the castle before turning into Adventure Land. First stop was Pirates and we walked straight on with little wait, then we moved on to BTMR, again hardly any wait, then Haunted Mansion where we walked straight in!
We all then decided we were hungry, so we thought best to do It's a Small World before lunch! The shock of going on there straight after lunch may have brought on a few protein spills! So we walked straight on to It's a Small World (under protest!).

For lunch we decided on Peco Bills.
Dining Review:
Me - Double bacon burger with fries. Very tasty, especially after a trip to the toppings bar
Julie - Burger with fries.
Nicola - Chicken wrap with fries. This was huge, and Nicola only managed half of it!
Jade - Burger with fries.
Drinks - 4 cokes
Total cost - $36.98

After lunch we walked back up to Peter Pan, there was a 20 minute wait so we grabbed a Fastpass and walked round to Pooh. There was another 10 minute wait here, so we jumped in line again. The actual wait was closer to 5 minutes though. As we came out of the Pooh ride we headed to the new (for us) Philharmagic show. We walked straight in and had to wait a few minutes before they opened the theatre doors. This a great show
When we came out it was time for our Peter Pan FPs, so we ambled back. The Peter Pan ride always seems so popular - the lines was about 40 minutes now!

As we wanted to do Fantasmic tonight, we decided to head back to the hotel and have a break before heading over to MGM.
Back at the hotel we found Tubbies, the Dolphins counter service restaurant and purchased refillable mugs.
After a short rest and a drink we headed down to the boat dock to get to MGM. We did quite well and found the route to the dock without getting lost - much!
The MGM Friendship boat pulled up with only a few people already on board (it picks up at the Yacht/Beach Club and Boardwalk first).
As we planned to do MGM in detail other days, we headed straight to Fantasmic. It was a little early and they the theatre wasn't open yet, so we had a look in some shops and the kids had a turkey leg each.
We started to enter Fantasmic about 1.5 hours before the show as we wanted a good seat in the middle section - which we got
As the sun went down, so did the temperature. It was really cold sitting waiting on those benches! Julie decided she fancied a giant Pretzel, so I went and got her one (I can't stand them!).
Finally the show started. Just as good as ever
Although the spray from the water screens didn't help the old body temperature much.
When they set the water on fire it was lovely and warm - I was quite mad at Mickey when he put the fires out!
After the show we wandered around a few more shops before heading back to the boat. There was quite a queue for the boat, but we manged to squeeze onto the first boat that came along.
Back at the hotel, we filled out mugs and then watched Illuminations from our room window
(This is a the best photo I got through the window)
