I have a question about renting a studio room at VWL, I am renting for 10 nights some of the nights I am paying for out of pocket and some I am renting from DVC member,my question is on the nights I am paying out of pocket do I get mousekeeping? I would think at $250 a night I should get it. Also, the renter said I was entitled to DVC benefits, how do I find out what the benefits are?

Stays using DVC points will have housekeeping services provided on the 4th day and every 4 days after that depending on the length of the stay. Reservations made thru Disney directly will have daily full-housekeeping services.

Technically, renters are not entitled to any DVC benefits. However, most likely, your room ID will state "DVC Member" so you might be able to get some benefits- as long as your aren't asked for the DVC membership card in addition to the room key. There may be some dining discounts available using your room key. Generally, a list will be provided at check in.

Be aware that you may need to change rooms during your stay if some nights are on cash and others are on DVC points- you can ask to stay in the same room when you arrive at the resort. You will most certainly need to check in each time the reservation status (points or cash) changes.

Have a great trip! :)

One of the benefits I like best is the lack of masses. There seem to be less people on dvc buses than resort hotel buses. They're also usually very friendly. Don't be shy, ask anything!

i think the bus ridership has more to do with how busy resort is when you're there. we've encountered some pretty full buses on early opening mornings when staying at okw, particularly the week after thanksgiving.

and at vwl bus service is for lodge guests as well as dvc members, not dedicated to either, so that scenario doesn't really apply.
