I saw Animal Kingdom for the 1st time ever on this visit. I was really curious about what it was like since I heard mixed reviews of it. I just want to say I LOVE IT! It is SO beautiful , I took tons of photos there. It is also very relaxing there because of all the greenery, it gives off a lot of oxygen. I really felt like I was visting an exotic place. The highlights for me at AK were "Its Tough to be a Bug" (VERY funny!) , the Rapid River ride (you WILL get soaked!) , and going on the safari. I got pictures of beautiful tigers as well. I do think that this park needs more rides and attractions, but I am sure they will appear in time. Otherwise, I was very pleased.
Also did Magic Kingdom, of course. Did Splash Mountian and got the photo! And boy did we get soaked! Also I love the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean. Saw the Hall of Presidents, which is amazing animatronics. You swear that there's men standing on stage. Very inspirational. This attraction always moves my Bob and many others to tears.
In Tommorrowland we did Alien Encounter (boy is that attraction LOUD!) and Buzz Lightyear. Walking in Tommorrowland, I enjoyed the smell of turkey (emu?) legs and the music of Andreas Vollenweider being played on the sound system.
We also had our photo taken on Main Street and it came out GREAT. I will always cherish it. While in MK, it started to POUR! That only means one thing in WDW: YELLOW PONCHOS! We all donned the ponchos and went about our fun. Fortunately is was clear for fireworks at MK. they were nice, but for me it doesnt compare to Epcot's Illuminations.
I ran around wearing Mouse ears , and got to take pics with Aladdin, Cinderella, Goofy and Mickey! It was great to be a kid again...
