Groosch!!

My cousin Goober was a mediocre conductor of a mediocre orchestra.

He had been having problems with the basses;
they were the least professional of his musicians.

It was the last performance of the season,
Beethoven’s 9th Symphony,
which required extra effort from the basses at the end.

Earlier that evening,
he found the basses celebrating one of their birthdays
by passing a bottle around.

As he was about to cue the basses,
he knocked over his music stand.
The sheet music scattered.

As he stood in front of his orchestra,
his worst fear was realized...........

..............it was the bottom of the 9th, no score and
the basses were loaded!

Have A Great Day Everybody!!!

Blowing your own horn again, GP?

hehehe :teeth:

Okay, sorry...I won't harp on it.;)

Well don't just STANZA there....say something!:bounce:

Groosch!

I thought that this pun would strike a new chord...

....some people felt that it resonated a new vibe.

I kinda like melodic puns.....I don't think you can beat them with a stick!

Still...I applaud Goober's efforts and dedication.

..did yer knoe....he just move? To the capital of Alaska!

This is the first time he's lived in a big city...

So I guess we'll have to start referring to him as a....

Metronome

:p

Grooooooaaaaaannnn.........
Punny you should say that, GP. The tone of this thread is just off, I did have to pitch my 2 cents worth in though. You should note that the key to a good pun is to be sharp or your pun will fall flat :)

I thought the metronome was that city's subway system

Either way, I'm happy he orchastrated his move there.

Juneau what they say: There's no place like Nome!

My apologies if you don't care for my half-baked Alaska puns

Aria all ready for this?

I think it's symphony to see all these responses! They crack me up!

You are all conducting yourselves so nicely...I hope it's not temporary.

LOL! :teeth:

Well Alan....it's better to be in Alaska then in the pits!

I should tell you thou a few more details about Goober's movement.

When he was searching for a new home, he made a notation that nome was very inviting.

The day he arrived was one of great fanfare.

It was a long walk from the airport terminal to the rental car place...but he did it with good cadence.

Unfortunately, owning to change in tempature...he caught a coda.

But that was nothing....he met the broker and she started making overtures towards him!

...when he started to run out of her office...he tripped over her mute, dog melody....the whole scene came to a crescendo when Goober realized while hailing a taxi he was baroque! ...... I doubt that's one performance he'll ever want an encore of!!

Thanks for clarinet up GP.

I guess no one likes to get their brass kicked!

:o :p

LOL! Just performed Beethoven on Tuesday!

Wow. This is too fast and some just slide past me; perhaps I should take sharper notes?

I'm sorry Goober is having such problems, but I assume it is worth it for the pay. Or is he just getting scale?
