I was so proud of myself that I just really wanted to share with you. My section at work has monthly goodie days and it is always so hard to stay on program when you have all of these great treats right there for you.
Today I tried to mentally prepare myself BEFORE I saw the food. I was determined to enjoy a few of the offerings but I would make sure to pick the best of what was available. So I passed up the french toast casserole, and the donuts and the raspberry cheesecake and the cookies, etc. and I ended up with 1/4 of a large bagel w/ a little veggie cream cheese, 1 club cracker with 1 slice of colby jack cheese, 2 chunks of pineapple and 7-8 grapes. I ate slowly while I talked to my co-workers and when I was finished I just kept drinking from my water bottle.
I was so proud of myself. I figured that I used about 4.5 points and I can easily build that into my day. I had oatmeal for breakfast (4 pts) and I will probably go to Subway for lunch (6-8 pts) and still have plenty of points left to enjoy dinner tonight.
I am so proud of myself because these are such a challenge and I have NEVER done so well. Successes like these make me really believe that I can succeed and that I can attain my goals to be fitter, healthier and thinner. This board and your encouragement is such a huge part of this and I want to thank every one of you.
