Good Wishes/Prayers Needed - Update #2

A little update.. He made it through his surgery without a hitch and is in recovery. I haven't been to the hospital yet today so I'm not sure how the girl is doing.

I'm heading down there again so I hope to find that she is doing okay. :/ Thanks again everyone...I appreciate it.

When we're young, all the warnings in the world don't guarantee we'll make the right decisions. I know. I got into the car of a drunk driver at age 17 and we got in a head on collision. I have NEVER driven with a drunk driver since - so I'm sure this will open his eyes as well.

Prayers for all the kids involved. They do deserve a second chance, and maybe they can help spread the word about drunk driving and teens - they now know firsthand that it's not a good thing.

When I was a sophomore in college, one of my sorority sisters died in a drunken driving wreck. The driver of the car she was in was drunk. A senseless tragedy, and because of that I will not get into a vehicle with someone who has drank, and usually I am the DD. I have also told friends to call if they ever need a ride home from somewhere.

We just had a tragedy in our surrounding community this past week. 17 yr. old boy driving (possibly had been drinking - waiting for test results) ran a stop sign, car was broadside & 17 yr. old female passenger was killed.

She was the class VP for 4 years, prom coordinator. They buried her this week & the prom was last night. Such a tragedy. I hope at least one of her classmates learns not to mess around with alcohol or drive recklessly. Just so sad.
