hi, last year we flew from KY to CA to go to Disneyland. I got my childrens ID's at our local County Clerk's office- where you get your Driver's license. It puts their picture with their name, ht and wt and DOB. I think they were like $4 each. And they are tagged in a way that if your child was to get lost or worse kidnapped it can be scanned into every law enforcement computer.
Hope this helps.
Check out www.childsid.com I got my son a stainless steel id bracelet for WDW several years ago, and he loves it. It looks like a medical id, so it gets noticed. He wears it all the time, even swimming. They run around $25, but they hold up. You get a discount for return shopping, and a reduced rate if you have a change in info (ie move).
Why wear id just at WDW-what happens if your child gets lost while youre home? On the top, he has a train outline (they have tons to choose from), his first and last name and dob. On the back it has our address, home phone, my name with my cell #, hubbys name & cell, and drs #. That way if we are travelling, we can be reached on our cells, and if we are injured, they can contact his dr. Police suggest having the childs full name, dob, parents names, and contact #s. Any medical issues can also be added. The clasp is not easy to open either. I will be getting one for my daughter once she starts walking.
