Hey Disers! Anyone have a favorite spot for Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade? My family is not into the parade thing....other than ME. So, any suggestions as to the best spot and how early did you grab your spot before the parade would be appreciated? Anything I can do to insure that their parade experience goes smoothly? We always do Spectro because everyone loves this parade, but other than that they don't ususally watch the parades. Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade is actually my favorite parade at WDW so I have convinced them to join me for this parade!

This is the only parade I haven't seen :wizard: .

I'll need to add it to the 'to do' list when we are back in Oct :hippie: , interested to see where the best spots to watch it are.

We've sat in the same place twice now. On discovery island, just before you cross the bridge to Africa, there are some benches on the left hand side. It's perfect because they are right behind the ropes. So you get an up close view of the parade and there isn't really enough space for anyone to squeeze in front of you.
It probably depends on how busy it is, but we snagged them about 45 minutes before the parade started. The great thing is that it's much more comfortable than sitting on the ground, so if you want to be safe and grab them an hour before the parade, it's a nice place to sit and have a snack and a drink while waiting.

Our favorite spot is in the "parade handicap" viewing area (not in the actual area, but that general location on the same side as pizzafari and that is on the WDW map in the area of pizzafari. We try and get a spot where you can see the parade both basically head on and then again as it passes you. Best I can tell you is to check out that area before the parade and see if it would be good for your group. Our kids are both grown now so we have no "little ones" to worry about so being behind someone is now O.K.

Since it is your favorite parade Tinkerchelle, would you mind sharing a little bit of why it's so special? I've never seen that one yet & usually don't find the daytime parades very worthwhile, so I'd really love to get some insight into that one. I've learned to appreciate a few new things by taking a look at them through other people's eyes & I really feel left out of the whole "daytime parades good" vibe.

Thanks!

I love my MJJP spot. I always watch in the same spot- right across from KS. I get to see the parade when it leaves, and then I wait for it to come back around since it ends where it begins.

Hey there, cabanafrau!

If you don't mind a SPOILER...

Here are the links to a multi-camera version of the show that I shot and edited.

Well, I love it for several reasons. I love Animal Kingdom. It is my favorite park. I know I am in the minority but I don't mind.:goodvibes I love the "feel" of the park and I think that feeling is definitely carried through to the parade. The music is fabulous! It stays with me for a long time after the parade and the colors are sooo alive and vibrant. I feel that it is probably the most creative daytime parade in Disney World. It makes me smiley:earsboy:

DFi and I found a pretty good spot to watch MJJP. I'm not as familiar with AK as I am with the other park so forgive my horrible description!. It's on the left side of the tree. There is an entrance with steps that go down under the tree. They put down this tape and there is just enough room for you to stand on the top step or sit down on the top step. This was the beginning of August and no one was in that spot. No one can stand on either side of you because of the way it's layed out. There is room for about 4-6 people.

Have fun!

The parade makes a big loop and actually goes through Africa twice.

Go to Harambe Village around 4:20 p.m., and you will have an awesome seat for when the parade comes back around!

Whatever you do, don't cram in with people near the front entrance, the walkway to Dinoland, or the bridge to Asia, those are the worst.

Thank you much, Tinkerchelle. Really good music might just sell me on this one alone. AK is an absolutely gorgeous park.

Big thanks to my friend Robo for the videos. I have to run my DD to an audition at the moment, but I'm coming back later for a special treat. (Why do I have a very strong hunch apologies for quality are very definitely not needed? ;) )

Thanks again Robo, outstanding videos as I expected.

Yep, I do feel spoiled. :goodvibes

I always watch from near Tamu Tamu Refreshments, that way I can see the parade twice! :goodvibes
