Hi,

We'll be going to WDW this July. I've got all dining reservations down, however I'm not sure where to go for snacks. Here's a list of what I'll be doing.

~ Day 1, MK
~ Liberty Tree Tavern, 1:05 PM
~ Crystal Palace, 6:45 PM

~ Day 2, Epcot
~ Chefs De France, 1:00 PM
~ Biergarten, 6:50 PM

~ Day 3, MGM
~ Pizza Planet
~ Mama Melrose's, 7:00 PM

~ Day 4, AK
~ Flame Tree BBQ
~ Rainforest Cafe, 7:00 PM

~ Day 5, MK/Epcot
~ Plaza Restaurant, 12:05 PM
~ Nine Dragons, 7:00 PM

I need ideas for snacks, where to get them, etc. I'm putting a budget of $10 per day on snacks.

Thanks,
Simon :wizard:

My all time favorite snack!! At the Norway Pavillion, they have something called, schoolbread. It is like a great big yeast donut, with a light cream, inside, and a very thin sweet frosting, coated with coconut flakes. One word, yummy!

At the France Pavillion, anything sweet you find there, is great. But, I love the napolean. So good. And, I have never tried, these frozen adult drinks. But, they are supposedly very good, and can be found somewhere in the France Pavillion also!

Right by Japan, there is a great big snow cone, to be had called a kaki gori. They make it rainbow, or individual flavors, like melon, lime, orange, strawberry! Light, and refreshing on a hot day.

Oh, on main street in the bakery they make ice cream sandwiches with warm cookies. I havent had one yet. But, I hear they are very good!

Mickey Bars, Popcorn, Lemonade slushes, and cups!!

There are countless snacks to be had. If you do a search type in snacks. You can find alot of them that you will love, that I have not mentioned. Hope, I helped a bit. Enjoy your Magical Disney vacation!!:goodvibes

My one must-do snack is the Dole Whip at Aloha Isle in MK... only place I've ever seen it and soooooooo yummy! Kind of like pineapple soft serve

I've used the DDP twice and both times we had good intentions of using our snack credits to try new things. The problem is that we're always soooooo full from the meals that we rarely want any snacks.

We usually hit the hotel CS right before we leave and stock up on thing like big boxes of Entenmann's donuts, full-size bags of chips, 2-liter cokes, 32oz. Powerades, etc. We left with about 15 items on our last trip! We drive, so storage of the items wasn't a problem.

I don't plan on using DDP though because we're going in July when it's not free. However, your plan sounds really good, I might do that.

I'd recommend checking the menus for the places you'll be eating to determine how much your food is going to cost without the DDP. If you tend to order appetizers, desserts, and soft drinks, you'll almost certainly save money by paying for the DDP.

If you generally order an inexpensive entree (chicken or pasta) and water only, you'll probably come out close to a breakeven with the DDP price over the cost of the day, in which case it would be better for you to pay for the DDP and get a LOT more food and a LOT better choices for the same price.

In general, people who don't dine in TS restaurants and/or only plan one or two TS meals can save money by paying OOP; however, since you seem to be eating TS at least once per day I'm almost certain that the DDP will save you money.

Also keep in mind that the DDP includes tax on all items and 18% tip on the TS meals.
