we are looking for a site to get driving directions to disney...actually we are looking for one that will show us of any road comstruction, so we can avoid it! :confused3

Greetings from NE Indiana- we are only 2 hours away from Indy!! I posted this same question last month. I only got a few response though. Mapquest, AAA, and Rand McNally were recommended. I like RandMcNally, which we are following in May. I have found Mapquest to be less than reliable. It is interesting to see which routes each site recommends- all 3 were different. I do believe either AAA or Rand McNally notes road construction. Last year when we drove we had a lot of construction to deal with in Tennessee on 24. Good Luck!

bumping this back up to the top because I'd like to know too!

We've decided to go I-65 thru Alabama this year and hope to avoid the 24/75 messes we've had the last 2 years with construction and accidents. I'm going to be posting a ? about that route.

p.s. we're from Warsaw!

I have heard good things about Rand McNally. I don't like Mapquest because I have found that the last pieces of their instructions are wrong. For example, a couple of years ago we got directions from Mapquest so we could visit my aunt who had moved. Mapquest got us to the area but then the last leg of their instructions were completely messed up. We drove around and asked numerous people for help. This was not the only time that Mapquest got us to the right area but could not get us all the way to our destination.

We used to always get the Triptik from AAA. It was so much fun flipping over the map pages and being that much closer to our destination! They would stamp where areas of construction were on each map page so we could beware (or make a change from their route). And we also used to add up the miles on the pages and then watch the mile markers. Definitely helped keep us all busy during the ride!

We always used that also. I like the size of the book and it had interesting facts on each page. Also had places for mileage and gas.
