My DH broke his foot. (He fractured the 5th metatarsal and tore some tendons--OUCH!) It won't be fully healed by our vacation Aug. 11, though the doc said we should be fine going, as long as we take it easy and stop and rest DH's foot. DH might also use a cane. We're normally park commandos, so we need some advice. What are some great attractions where we can sit and rest? Particularly ones near attractions where we'd be standing in line for a while! We've never been to Universal, so any advice is welcome. Are there any shows/sit down things we should avoid? Last time to WDW we did the Tiki Bird show only because it was air conditioned. I wanted to escape 2 minutes in! Ugh!

Also, if DH decides to use the cane, can he bring it on the rides with him (or at least to the platform)? He might be more comfortable in line with it (he really doesn't want to use a wheelchair).

Thanks!

I think a few attractions that would fit the bill and still entertain would be: Shrek 4-D, Horror Make-Up Show, T-23D, Lucy Tribute and E.T.(it's a bike ride attraction but there is a line that can be long at times) at the Studios. All are indoors, air conditioned and all are pretty entertaining. If nothing else, he could just sit down and relax for a while in the a/c.

If you have any other questions, fire away...we're always here to help! :thumbsup2

At most rides, you will NOT be able to bring your cane into the ride vehicle. A TM will either bring his cane to the unload area, or keep it near the control console.

A good "Sit and rest" attraction, imo, would be Storm Force Accelatron. It's near the Hulk coaster, and all you have to do is let the ride spin you. It will oly spin fast if you make it spin fast.

Caro-Seuss-el is another good one. It's a carousel, and even the chariot has the up-and-down motion.

Skip Twister. Twister is a stand-the-whole-time attraction with a floor drop at the end. That could aggravate your DH's broken foot.
