Good side dishes to go with Beef Strognanoff?

We are having guests tomorrow night, and I am going to do the crock pot Beef Stroganoff.

I'm stumped for sides though.

Any suggestions?

When I make beef stroganoff I usually just serve a green salad and some bread/rolls with it. Steamed brocolli sometimes intead of the salad.

The only kind of canned peas I will eat . Not everyone likes peas, though. I would serve your main dish with a nice salad and some fresh bread.

I like brocoli with stroganoff - something about the nice, bright green color looks nice next to the kinda "blah" looking main dish.
