Good Samaritan at WDW!!

Disney has an impressive lost and found operation. I left my brand new ray bans in the pocket of the Everest expedition. I didn't realize it until the sun came out from behind a cloud and I had no glasses to wear. I went back to the ride and noticed that they check each seat back pocket after each ride, then they place the found items into a bin, that bin gets sent to the concierge/lost and found desk at the front of the park--where I was reunited with my lost sunglasses!:cool1:

Last February I left my wedding rings in the room safe (don't asK) and we were half way home before I realized it. Thanks to the diligence of the Disney staff and the very honest "new "residents of our former room, my rings were recovered and Disney shipped them home to me.

Now THAT's honesty!

Thank You!:love::love::love:

Wow...that is awesome! Glad to hear of the honest people out there...doing the right thing!

On our 2nd trip, my little girl who was under 2 at that time, somehow 'accidently'l lost her one croc on the Buzz Lightyear ride at MK. It was our 2nd last day and the price of crocs on site were....well very high for a kid who hardly warked and one day left. By chance we asked around and was told to call the Lost and found center in the morning. Well, what do you know, Cinderella found that one shoe after all:rotfl2:

The one thing that broke this same little girls heart this year in June was when her 'favourite colour' purple Refillable mug was taken from the bathroom at SSr:sad2: It was very quiet and we were in the washroom near the pool changing just before our flight and I asked her to leave her mug on the sink as she still had her juice in it - came out 5 mins later and it was gone. Sad thing is, we went through great lengths to get this mug in the first place for her and it was one of a very few purple mugs at SSR as it was from one of the All Stars. She was devastated and we tried to get one when we went back in August but was not successful. Funny how a little thing like a mug can make one kid so disappointed, but it sure did:sad1:

We just returned from a 8day trip to WDW and on the 5th day I lost my purse.

It was raining at Epcot and we were hurrying to get to the monorail and I didn't realize that my purse was missing until we got back to BLT. I had about $26, all my credit cards, ,my driver's license and our annual passes in there. I checked with management immediately but they told me to call lost and found in the am.

I called right at 9am and they put me on hold for 2-3 (LOONNG) minutes and came back to tell me that it was found!! Nothing was missing - the cards, license, passes all there - even the $.35 in change!! Someone had turned it in last night.

Just thought I would let the board know that there are still honest people in the WDW!! Thank you to the person who returned it if by chance they are a DIS'r!!

Glad to see there's still faith in humanity!
