I found this code earlier on mousesavers and thought I'd share it:

discount code VFGET
for a compact at $119.99/wk, intermediate at $139.99/wk, fullsize at $179.99/wk or $34.99/day, or a minivan at $209.99/wk or $39.99/day. Good in Florida only. Blackout dates may apply. Valid through 12/11/04. Source: Florida tourism brochure

I just booked a minivan from 8/20 - 8/29 (10 days) and it was $413. Without the code it would have been $728!!!

Just thought I'd pass along a great deal!

Nancy

have you ever rented a minivan from dollar before, does it have the integrated child childs in it. May rent one in Oct and dont want to pay to rent car seats

No, I never have before. We bring our car seat on the plane so we have it for the car.

Give them a call and ask, I'm sure they could give you an answer one way or the other.

THANKS for the code!

I changed my existing reservation. I was able to add an hour AND save myself a few $$.

I just switched from Alamo at $316/5 days for minivan and saved $80/van. Yahoooo.

thanks for the tip. Even though Alamo is at the airport the savings are welll worth it. For $10 or $20 I won't switch but for 80 I will.

leaving in 6 days

Dollar is right at the terminal too. You don't have to take a shuttle bus to it. I just confirmed this on MCO's website.

So, you saved $80 and you don't have to do anything extra!!!

Have a great trip!

I just saved $80 dollars over a SUV from Budget. Minivans where priced even higher. Thanks for the code.:bounce:

We rent from them every year we go. This time they gave me a full size SUV for $448 including all taxes for 11 days!

I tried with that code and then without it and managed to get a full size at Dollar without any code for $124 a week for Oct 8 to 22nd ($330 total including all taxes):hyper:

ohio dad

We rented dollar in sept 02. We were "upgraded" to a grand caravan and thay had the child seat integrated, but the upgrade cost 20.00 for the week(if i remember correctly). We already had brought our child seats:mad:  . oh well was nice van and easier on the kids in those integrated seats.

We rented from Dollar recently and got a Town and Country. It had the built in "car seats" so it seems that probably most of theirs do.

We also rented a minivan from Dollar last fall. When I did call to try and "reserve" a van with the seats, I was told it caouldn't be done. At the airport they tried to tell us it was an upgrade and it would cost an additional $20, we said forget it and they ended up giving us the van with seats anyway.

I only have one 3 yr old (so far) so we confirmed a full size for $132 for 8 days 7 nights - Can't beat that. Did not use any codes. If just came up that way. I think the intermediate was only 5 dollars cheaper so we went with a bigger car for storage and in laws are visiting for 2 days. Hope this helps anyone not looking for a minivan.

I just switched to Thrifty and with a code, I got a mini van for 8 nights, for $260. If anyone would like the code, I will find it. Has anyone ever rented from Thrifty? I have heard diff. opinions of them.
