Due to a water leak in our first floor bathroom, and a property manager who does not want to replace the warped laminate wood flooring in the adjacent living space, I have to find an area rug promptly to cover the floor. The laminate buckled horribly, and it's not only a tripping hazard, its just plain UGLY now. And knowing this type of flooring, if we walk on in it's going to start chipping at the seams too so it will look even worse if we don't cover it soon.
I'm not too happy about the unexpected expense, and I really want to get the best deal on this rug. It's been ages since I've had to purchase one. I looked around online and found olefin probably suits our needs best (toddler, messy older kids, and a dog = need to be able to spot wash it). But, I'm finding that the price range is pretty spread out. I've seen some for $100, and some all the way up to $500.
So, that said, anybody have an idea where to look for an olefin area rug (any size from 8x10 to 10x12) and how much is a good price?
Thanks in advance!
