Good price

Looking at car for 15 nights starting 29 sept. Would like an intermediate SUV (just like SUVs!!). What would you say is a good price. Lowest quote about £400 at moment with insurance/free driver. Is that decent or will prices likely drop nearer to the time before rising again. Would kick my self if it rises or falls a lot!!

I booked well in advance and got a full sized SUV (7 seater and three free extra drivers) for £570 for some comparison for you. That's for peak time in August 2015 so your dates should be cheaper. That same car is nearly double the price from the same dealer today so prices clearly fluctuate wildly.

I booked 21 nights SUV with Sixt for £440 with 10% cash back which has tracked so hopefully final price £400. This is for 11th August to 1st September.

An intermediate SUV on Virgin Atlantic car hire, with Alamo, is £355. If you want Gold insurance, with extra driver and tank if fuel, it is an extra £73.
