Ok I visited a couple of Travel agents yesterday, and it surprised me how much they were willing to price match or price beat.
These were my requirements for 2adults 2chidren ( 7 and 4 ) 15 Oct 2010

1 week on site POR + DDP
3 weeks car hire ( full size ) - Fully inclusive car insurance
21 day Ultimate Ticket
Virgin Flights

1 came back with £4130 SO i rang the other Travel Agents and they came back with £4400, but think they can get it lower so are ringing me back today. However I have noticed that the £4130 price does not cover the car ( i don't know why it wasn't put on ), and the £4400 does. So heres hoping for a price match including car Hubby is doubtful but I hope so.

Flights Virgin from Manchester £2,293.16
1 week at POR +QS DDP £1,593.00 +£140 for reg DDP
3 weeks car + ins £420

£4,306.16 with QS DDP
£4,446.16 with reg DDP.

Might get flights cheaper, will get a little cashback using Quidco but the price you have is fair enough, not OTT.
My choice would be OKW which includes reg DDP but other people prefer POR.

They couldn't match it with the car

They could do £4497 with intermediate car.

Do you think I should leave car hire off??? Hubby thinks the prices will drop

Prices might drop, might not, it does take in the school holiday.

Indirect would save you maybe £1,000+ but not everyone wants to do it.

I would book all myself, prefer to be in control and buy each part at the right time.

Indirect would be soooooo much cheaper I know

But alas I am one of those nervous flyers and would find it an absolute nightmare, I would rather just get there with the minimum of fuss
