We didn't start collecting these until the day before we left! I didn't think dd would like it but once she started ......... We only have about 6 pennies? (I'd have to find her book and count) but she had to have the book etc to put them in.

I would like to get her a few more for Xmas. Other than ebay, where they seem to run high, any suggestions? I check the auctions here the other day but didn't see any at that time.

Just a thought............
But go to the collectors board and see if anyone there has them and may have "extras".
Or see if someone traveling there soon would be willing to pick up a few for you.

My DD loves to collect them. Our last trip in June while we were in a shop (out of the rain for a while), she found that they sold the books (had never seen them before).
So she really started looking for the machines......filled her book about 3/4 of the way.

email me......I may be able to pick up a few for you when we go in Oct....

I am going in about 15 days, I would be more than happy to send you any or all my doubles. I am trying to go thru them now, I'll let you know what I come up with, I have 3 books full.

I remember seeing one of those machines in the waiting-line queue for the Spiderman ride at Universal IOA

My neice collects the pressed pennies. Guest relations has a location list of machines in that particular park. The list had a description of each press as they are all uniquely themed. Each press also has three different designs. Be prepared, most parks had at least 20 machines! The resorts and many other areas, i.e. Downtown Disney, Boardwalk, etc, also have machines. I saw the books at the gift shops towards the entrance of all the parks. Do a search from last year (2001), there was some great links to how to purchase the book on line, a list of all the Disney penny machines and lots of discussions on how to clean your pennies. I found most CMs had shiny pennies on hand for this purpose. This is inexpensive, fun way to remember Disney. Do you know there is also presssed quarter machines? HAVE FUN!

Mickeyfan1, I love that philosophy! It makes me want to start pressing pennies!!

YES I DO!! However, my change just has about $23 in it and my 'money earned' from ebay etc has about $109 in it. That won't even get me one night at the swan on the entertainment rate.

Sending you a PM...I have about 20 doubles that you are welcome to have. :)

Pressed Quarters are only $1.25...$1 charge and then the quarter you press.

skuttles- I pm'd you back earlier tonite.
