I posted this on the resort forum but didn't get to many options so I thought I'd try my fellow Canadians. I want to get some groceries delivered first to Universal for our first week and then some stuff to Disney for our second week. Any suggestions where a good place to order from? I've been told Green Groceries, which look ok but just wonder what else is out there and isn't crazy expensive. I also would like to get some coolers/wine/beer so need to have that as well. I know Disney sells it at the resorts but I expect getting this way would be cheaper..Green Groceries had 12 packs of Mikes Hard....I think for what we pay for six here:confused3! Oh well.

I have used Garden Grocer in the past. https://www.gardengrocer.com/
You can see all their items & prices on their website. However, it depends on how much you need. I found the milk, bread & juice found at the resort groceries to be priced similarly. At the time, I was ordering cases of water & special dietary items for a grand gathering so the combined order made it worthwhile.

We usually have a car, so we can do a Wal-Mart or Publix run. I prefer to browse through the "different" food items. Generally, I found groceries to be rather expensive in Florida (except for dairy) and fresh produce the most -- even oranges! :confused3

Wanted to add: You can order alcohol through Garden Grocer, but you have to add it as a special request, and I think you have to send a copy of your drivers licence ... do a search on the boards for more info. It's not something I did ... I'm the Timmies-steeped-tea type! ;)

We use Garden Grocer every time we go down. Just placed my order yesterday for our trip in 2 weeks. It is a little pricey but still cheaper than wdw especially for water and beer.

Garden Grocer has been the only one we've used and we were happy with the selection and service. Yes, some things are going to be more expensive than home, they've cornered a market and can charge what they want. They did deliver beer to us in 2008. I don't know if they do that anymore.

This must be the one I was thinking of but got the name mixed up! Seems like the one most people mention and use so I guess it will be the one we try. We aren't going to be getting a ton of stuff but it's nice to have a few things so your not always eating out. Of course going in middle of August we will need a ton of water and I've heard the tap water in Florida is terrible...can't remeber it one way of the other last time we were there so either I didn't find it bad or we didn't drink it....mind you I'm from Regina so use to terrible tasting water!
So how close to your trip do you usually order? I'll be doing two, one for Universal and one for Disney so they would be about a week apart.
Thanks for the help!:cutie:

I have used Wegoshop - I think the service is amazing, and you can save more money using them, because you are not shopping off of what they have to offer, you are ordering from your favourite stores where you know the prices and products. We order from either the Walmart Supercenter or Publix, but they will go where you like. I also like that, since we order from Walmart, we can get our alcohol included, plus all the brands we like at good prices. You just go on their website, copy/paste a detailed shopping list onto your order form, and your shopper will call you to confirm your order or answer/ask any questions. They have very reasonable delivery fees as well. When we stay at WDW it costs $45-60 a day for a car rental to go get my own, or it was $40 round-trip in a taxi from OKW to Walmart. So for less than that, someone else does the shopping for me, brings it to me and all I have to do is unpack it - no wasting any precious vacation days shopping for food!

I use Personal Disney Shopper http://www.kellypds.com/ and she shops around so you Don't have to pay $8 for a case of water. I believe she delivers alcohol as well

She's also on facebook under Personal Disney Shopper
