This will be my first Disney cruise. (Cruised once before on WindStar). From what I read, there aren't a lot of places on board that overlook the ocean unless you have a verandah.

Where are good places (besides your room) to curl up with a good book and enjoy a nice atmosphere (ie ocean view or quiet place or well-lit room...?)

One idea might be to go on deck, towards the bow, outside on the running track, (barly anyone goes running in the mid-day) and youll find some lounge chairs, those might be good. Also, next to the computer cafe, theres a piano bar that overlooks the ocean, that was one of my favorites.

My favorite place if on my veranda, but if you don't have one you still have some great options.

Outdoors - deck 4 has some great comfy padded deck chairs. Great place to sit and read a book.

If you don't mind direct sun go to the secret aft area on deck 7 - it is usually quiet but can get hot.

There are also tables and chairs in the shade on deck 9 if you want to relax your book on a table. All three pool areas have piped in music as well.

Indoors - There are big cushy chairs in the atrium by guest services and they are right near some large windows looking out at the sea.

Just back today from the Wonder. We found some cushioned wood chaise lounge chairs on the 4th floor deck yesterday and never got to use them, but they looked perfect for a book.

At the adult pool, quiet cove.

One spot is the open area behind topsiders buffet. Went back there between meals and it was almost always deserted. You can look up and see the wake disappearing into the far horizon. Great place to write a book, too. Wes for Debbie

Hello

I think Deck 5, with the teak floor and they have the wooden lounge chairs... Its always quiet here, unless there is a life boat drill..:-)

Debbie H from Hanover: even though I'm in TX now, I'm from your neck of the woods--Lancaster.

Deck 4 at dusk.......never anybody there.

Deck 4, without a doubt. The chairs are comfortable and there is usually a nice breeze there.
