Hi everyone-
Just wanted to know if/where there is a good pizza (prefer by the slice but ordering a whole pizza would be ok too) either in walking distance from the park or in the parks? I tried the pizza in DCA on the pier and we all HATED it (plus it was SO expensive for one slice!), so I was hoping while we are eating "junk food" while on vacation to treat ourselves to yummy pizza this year. Any advice on where to find some yummy pizza would be appreciated (we are staying at the GCH and will not have a car)

The word "pizza" called out to me! :lmao: And now I am craving pizza at midnight!

Here is a recent thread about pizza delivery or takeout, and on the first page of the thread there are links to other pizza threads, so you'll find lots of suggestions and ideas outside of DLR - http://www.disboards.com/threads/best-delivery-pizza.3436276/#post-54189580.

Naples in DTD serves pizza and it's decent. I'm not too thrilled with the pizza at Pizza Port in Tomorrowland.

Many people rave about Pizza Press, which is outside of Disneyland Resort and does not deliver, but you can walk to it and take the pizza to go or eat there. They say it's a great price for a good pizza.

The interesting thing about Disneyland is the number of Italian and Pizza places surrounding it....

In DTD there's a pizza place called Naples..

Best restaurant delivery service is Restaurants on the Run...

Pizza places in the area....

- California Pizza Kitchen is well known chain http://www.cpk.com/locations/anaheim-gardenwalk/
- Buca di Beppo is well known chain too http://www.bucadibeppo.com/restaurants/ca/anaheim/

- Pizza Press http://www.thepizzapress.com/

I heard The Pizza Press on Harbor was pretty good, never been there. I thought that the pizza at Naples was pretty blah, but it is close by.

We had pizza from Naples in DTD twice - once as takeaway and second time ate in - the takeaway was ok but the night we ate there I was very underwhelmed. It was quite greasy.

Pizza press is great. It's thin-crust pizza, and you get a decent-sized pizza for about $10. You can totally customize it to your liking. It's awesome! Love it!

Okay so this is too far away for OP, but for anyone who has a car and is willing to drive for dinner, I recommend Giant Manhattan Pizza 9842 Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA 92804. This place has great pizza, they do sell a GIANT pizza (box was about the size of the top of the stove in our condo), and the price is good considering how large the pizzas are. We've eaten there twice. First time we ordered a typical large pizza for our family. Second time we ordered the Giant Pizza because there were 8 of us.

We stayed at the Fairfield, just a couple of driveways down from Pizza Press and wanted to give it a try but we were always too full from park treats :) Yelpers gave it pretty good reviews.

Yum, another vote for Pizza Press! We each got our own pizza, but we should have just split the toppings and shared. Plenty of food for two, especially if you add a salad. They will also add vegetables to your salad if you like. Its a small place with a slow moving line, so try to go in the off times, like for a late lunch.

We really like Pizza Press. We tried Marri's on our last trip as we heard rave reviews on here about it. The flavor is great. The only thing I didn't like is with each piece with the first bite all the toppings and cheese fell off so, for me it's a I'm not doing that again.

We liked Pizza Press a lot as well, we stayed at the Carousel and enjoyed the short walk over to get a good pizza and a beer(they had a variety of individual bottles and my husband liked some of the offerings quite a lot). We really liked The Sun pizza, and The Chronicle was good as well.

Another vote for Pizza Press. My kids loved it because they could pick exactly what went on top. The pizzas are relatively small so it's not by the slice, but easy to share or eat the whole thing if you are really hungry. They have a kid's size too for the under 9 crowd that comes with a drink and a cookie.

LOL! What kind of salad is this?

Haha, I guess that sounded funny! A salad with vegetables? They had packaged lettuce bowls with no real toppings and I thought they looked pretty sad, but the lady behind us got one and they offered to add toppings like tomatoes, peppers, olives, etc. to give it a bit more substance.

Add me to the Pizza Press fan list!! It's right next to the Carousel Inn, just a short walk from the entrance to the park. For $10 bucks you get a medium size pizza with any toppings you want! The crust is thin and they cook it in one of those moving ovens, like Quiznos uses, so it's done in about 5 minutes. You can eat it there, or take it with you. If you have an annual pass you get a 10% discount. DizMe and I love that place! Where else can you get stuffed with great pizza for only $9 (with our AP discount)??? :thumbsup2
