I am thinking of flying in on a fri evening for a cheaper flight but we don't check in to the poly untill the next day, where is a good location to crash for the night but not be afraid of bugs etc? No kids/ 3 adults?

When are you going? I've seen some pretty good deals lately at the DTD hotels. The new Holiday Inn just opened, the Hilton is there and Best Western. Or maybe you could get a good rate at Swan and Dolphin? I would check Travel Zoo and Book It. I've stayed for a night at The Regal Sun. It was recently remodeled. It isn't the fanciest, but it's fine for a night. I liked it because it is directly across the street from the enterance to DTD. 5 minute walk. I think I got it for $69 through Book It.

One question first. Will you have a car?

If so, then the location of your room won't be a factor and I'd probably go with something near WDW. We've had good luck with the hotels in "Marriott Village". They have a Courtyard, Fairfield Inn and Springhill Suits in one location. Often you can find good prices on one of them.

If you do not have a car and were hoping to use DME, then check around the airport for a hotel (again we prefer Marriott). Most of them offer free airport shuttles so you can get there, and then back to the airport in the morning to catch DME.

I second the Buena Vista Suites. I book through Dreams Unlimited. The rooms are very nice and the price is great. Also, they offer a free breakfast.

I'd stay at the airport. This way you can get in, browse the stores and get a little stoked about the vacation...there are magazines to read and places to eat - everything you need. You get a good sleep and can rent the car the next morning, saving a day of rental car fee.

We like Buena Vist suites too but have used Priceline on more than one occasion and asked for a 4 star near the airport and gotten some great deals there.

We stayed off site on our arrival night last September at the Hampton Inn in Kissimee, very close to WDW. There were 3 adults in our party (me, my fiance and my dad), we had a King Bed & a sofa bed and there was more than enough room for the 3 of us to move around & get ready in the morning. The room was also very clean.

I got a REALLY great rate for the night from Expedia (around $55, but it was a Wednesday which may have helped).

I suggest Buena Vista Suites. It's close, beautiful, and has a wonderful free buffet breakfast. And the rates start at 88.00. Here is the link to check it out. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/Resorts/bvsuites/index.htm

I second this. We use this place all the time and love it. Especially the free breakfast. :banana:I booked through Dreams as they had it for $88 up till December and we are coming in then. :dance3:Nice place. Penny:hippie:

go to hotels.com check out the clarion on rt 192 in kissimee. very close to disney. we stayed there last wk and it was 70.00 for a suite with 2 double beds plus a pull out couch huge room. had fridge and micro. book through hotels.com check there for last minute deals. Or homewood suites we had a unbelieveable room that was a 290.00 room for 90.00 from hotels.com it was buena vista.

When I stay off site I usually just grab a cheap room at the Days Inn. Pre-PCC 1.0 we got a room for one night for $55.

For cheap cheap - try the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista. Travelzoo sometimes has really good deals there. For reasonable and nice - I like the Sheraton Safari not far from the Crossroads. I haven't stayed there, but there's usually a discounted Mousesavers rate at the Hotel Royal Plaza in Downtown Disney.
